I can't tell if Saya no Uta is porn put onto a story or a story put onto porn. I don't know, I mean who the fuck would jerk off to that? I guess out of context, but in context it's fucking horrifying. At the same time there's a dip in artyness in the porn scenes, they lack a certain atmosphere that the rest of the game has. I guess it depends on the creators. Like, was this a case of "Okay I've been contracted to make porn but I want to make a serious story so I'm going to twist it around" or "I'm going to make porn and I'm fucking insane and find nub shiggurath sexy"? As a representation of depression and schizophrenic paranoia, it's fucking brilliant. And I think that the sex serves an important part in the mind fuckery in it's own David Cronenburg fashion. I just feel like it's a bit too on the nose.

I started playing Yume Miru Kusuri recently and while I know that I should be saving before choices, is there any other way to order saves properly or how saving should be done? Just finished Kira Kira. Apparently I've been reading it really slowly because it took me as much time as Clannad. Instead of writing a wall of text, I'll just point out (which still will end up being a wall of text in the end): What I liked: - It contains truckload of jokes and funny stuff, sometimes I cried because of laughter; - It's not as short as I expected it to be at first; - I didn't have to get used to the artstyle like it was with Clannad, where I had problems accepting it at first; - Because of it I started listening to punk rock now and discovered some fantastic pieces of music; - I liked the soundtrack; - It was a good read after all, out of all 3 VN's I read so far, this one is among my three favourite VN's. What I didn't like: - [sp]Cocks in H-scenes, but it's because I can't stand looking at cocks general. Also I was disturbed character voices during these scenes,[/sp] but it shows how dedicated the voice actors were, so it's not really a bad thing. At least not for majority of people in this thread; - I didn't cry because of emotions. I was on the verge of crying during non-true end Kirari's route, but it's most likely because I'm colder than I want to be; - The text box style isn't the greatest one out there, it took a while to get used to it; - Not the greatest quality of the translation, but it didn't directly affect the comfort of reading. There obviously are things I would like to add, but for some reason I can't think of anything else. I'm going to start reading Curtain Call (the after story of KK). tl;dr KK is a nice read and I recommend it, though it's not completely flawless.

You have an option to go to the previous choices anyway.

What I think of when I hear YMK is a well-chiseled VN that's fun to read if you get in the correct mindset (I now expect someone to attack me saying "omg the mindset of a retart rite guise? lol pwnt") I don't recall enough about the two latter arcs, but when I read it, not expecting it to give me a moral lesson, I enjoyed the way they fucked over ol' bitchy lady and her dumbfuck boyfriend. It has a bunch of ero, yeah, but borderline rapey is pushing it. Seems the difference between our opinions might stem from what we consider VNs to be. Because I don't see how anyone can say "Eroge VNs can teach important morals to individuals." Some can, but blanket terms like that are just silly. Most of them don't and don't intend to. If you can find me the writers of YMK saying that they intended for the story to do that, then I'll rethink my opinion to "An accidental enjoyable read". [B]However let's drop it here alright?
