Steins;Gate on Steam would be fantastic. Of course, having Visual Novels in English on Steam in general would be fantastic.
Or in all available languages like other steam games.
Might be bad rep publishing a game from a company who makes eroges(the same company that made Saya no Uta) VN's aren't exactly the rage in Western markets, so it's going be be a big risk if they try to bring it here
Those two I mentioned apparently did pretty well on Steam but those were more game than VN.
Or in all available languages like other steam games.
Well, yeah. But English as a primary would be nice.

I must say, thought I've never played any VNs and haven't been particularly interested in them, I've heard some of the music from When Seagulls Cry and it was incredible.

It is more akin to reading a book than anything, but with some choices throughout.

sharin no kuni is a must read if you liked g-senjou no maou
My friend tells me the genderswapped Vladimir Putin in that game is awesome, can you confirm?
Haven't gotten that far yet but when I do I will post a screenshot.
So much humor in such a serious novel.
Here, this is the genderbended Putin. [editline]1st February 2012[/editline] So really it's not a genderbend, they just gave her a similar name.
So much humor in such a serious novel.
Which VN is this?
I'm disappointed. I was expecting an extremely manly, constantly shirtless Russian woman.
It's actually not a bad VN and I have found it quite funny so far. It doesn't take itself seriously at all.
Steins Gate looks interesting... Made some Lilly GIF Idk.
I christen this avatar as my first gif as glod member
I christen this avatar as my first gif as glod member
It could use a border but I'm too lazy to give it one.
Which VN is this?
It's G-Senjou no Maou. Most of it so far has been like murder-mystery one-upmanship, but every once in a while it will take a break and head back into a relaxed humorous atmosphere.

so I've been playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, I just finished the second case and the whole thing with [sp]ghosts and mediums and shit[/sp] was rather unexpected. Enjoying it so far though
About fucking time this thread was made.
About fucking time this thread was made.
And can't you see how such a bad idea it was!? Truly it was a terrible idea. Huh, I never really counted Ace Attorney as a VN. Always thought it was a "Detective-esque" like game with clues and shit.
Huh, I never really counted Ace Attorney as a VN. Always thought it was a "Detective-esque" like game with clues and shit.
Most tribunal sections are made in a visual novel format - text in a small window, choices to make (though not obvious, they're clues/errors in testimonies) When looking for clues, it's a point and click game for the most part, but whenever you speak with another character, you get the same text in a small window, with an image of the character speaking and a background. There's also a considerable amount of text. The Phoenix Wright saga is a visual novel with a gameplay twist. It's just terribly well hidden :v:
Ah right. I've always looked at the games, but never paid that much attention to them until Mr, Wright (?) was put into UMVC2.
