Either A, the companies that make all the good VNs decide that their eastern market is enough to keep them going, and won't officially branch out to western platforms like Steam or Origin. This means that VNs won't come to Steam because the people that have the right to put them in Greenlight don't want to, and the people who want to don't have the right to. Or B, which I wish for, is that eastern companies accept Steam and begin officially translating their works into English so as to get more people to buy their VNs. Also I'm not sure how happy Steam and the western world would be with Eroge games.

I think the best we can get are the ones without any H-related content. Luckily there's good ones that fall into that category, but I don't think you can expect fucking Monster Girls (or any, really) on Steam ever.

Then again all that is just more work. Getting games to work on non-Japanese-local computers, English translations, making shit proper for west-people etc etc.

I don't know if I would buy them on steam, seeing most of them would've stuff removed from the start to follow Steam's "No pornography" guidelines. I mean, I won't buy them for the porn for the most part, but I still expect to get a full package.

Damn it, anyone know why all of Majikoi S's animated cutscene video is frozen to me? The audio is fine, but the video itself isn't running which is a damn shame because I can't skip the broken video. And does anyone have an idea how I get Margit's route? Right now I'm completely lost.

Shame that things like these feel like they're progressing slowly even though it takes time for people to make good quality stuff. Still, I think the Margit route is only in the full version so I guess I'll have to wait for that. Then in Majikoi I'd love if there was a fully translated route of Chris, I'd go for that any day.
