~out of context~
That sounds like my kind of nightmare.

Sucks to be you if so.
Here's another. This sounds more like a fantasy of mine. (out of context makes it even better)

Who said it was a bad thing?

Well a nightmare tend to be a bad thing, I think. So a nightmare when you wake up as a huge penis would be a bad thing, while having a dream about waking up as a huge penis isn't equally bad, since it's not a horrifying version (see: not nightmare).

This VN is both hilarious and brilliant. Currently there have been some scenes with the MC's little sister. (which is clearly underage), but he says that she and him are both over 20 (so nobody gets in trouble), and even the parents jump on it. Breaking the 4th wall?

there's rumors of an actual route with aya that had been cut from the release
I want it so bad aya was the best character in the game
[editline]26th September 2012[/editline]
I also want a tsubaki route
[editline]26th September 2012[/editline]
a nanjou route wouldn't be too bad either
Well, only played it for like an hour and already a [sp]sex scene with Mizuki.. Not complaining though![/sp]
Together with incredibly dramatic music it makes for quite the scene.
spoiler alert [sp]mizuki is a whore[/sp]
I never managed to finish her route. every time I try it I get sick of her really quickly and just break off to nekoko's route
all girls are whores in yume
the sex scenes in ymk felt more out of place than the ones with rimu in deardrops and that takes some serious effort
Fate/staynight had sex scenes that came out of left field, Would have really broken the pacing if half the game wasn't slice of life romance comedy stuff.
rimu's sex scene literally came out of no where though one minute I was discussing life with her and literally the next frame we were in a park and my dick was between her breasts without any indication that we were about to pork
gonna install cross channel now, here's hoping it'll be fun
So I just finished Tomoyo After and I'm left with that same sad, empty feeling as I had when I finished other VN's (KS, Clannad, Kanon) starting to think maybe I get too attached to the characters or something (which i guess isn't that surprising seeing as they are mostly dramas). Was definitely a great VN though (not to mention I loved the soundtrack), just wish it didn't have to end.
I should really check back more. Going back home to install Clannad and Tomoyo After for a continuous runthrough. I don't think my feelers will work after this. (As in Nagisa's route and Tomoyo's route, then TA).. Already beat the game once, but i don't remember much of it anymore, so.. Woot?

thx for helping ilife you are my best friend
Does anybody know if there are any VN's on Android with English language worth giving a shot? I'm afraid I may be unable to use my PC since this Saturday for a quite long time.
I just looked for a good 15 minutes and couldn't find any legal copies of the game for PC from any reputable retailers other than J-List which wants to charge $80 for it (last time I saw it in retail it was going for $30, inflation isn't that bad that it more than doubles in just a few months). You can go with j-list, but I'd go elsewhere if you catch my drift.
That's because Clannad is not being produced anymore, so every copy left is a genuine physical version / download version. So it's a collector's item.
I just finished Rimu's route in Deardrops. I didn't expect it to be THAT short.
Searching the app store and found Kira Kira on it. Is it even partially like the actual PC game, if anyone's played it? From the description it sounds like a completely different story than the PC version but it says it was ported from it to the iOS devices.
So I'm about an hour into Tomoyo after.
I trust being that its a clannad game the story starting picking up later, cause thus far it been pretty boring.
Hey guys, I lurk this thread sometimes, but honestly not that often, which means that I don't know how you feel about western visual novels, non eastern art-styles, indie projects, kickstarter or possibly helping a guy out. So this could go very, very wrong.
Basically, here is a potential visual novel kickstarter:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/axelshokk/kat-attack-an-intense-space-rock-opera-visual-nove
Now this isn't a sales pitch, I have almost no personal investment in this (I do have a steak in it's success in that my girlfriend is going to be one of the voice actors if this goes through, and it could mean a lot to her) I just thought it looked pretty cool and that you might be interested.
I realise this is an awful post overall, but I don't want to write a massive woo-ing piece of emotive literature to convince you to fund this, that's up to you, I just thought this would be the best place for some exposure to fans of the genre.
Also it's a dead cheap kickstarter compared to most.

Seems okay, but I don't really like the artstyle, and what I've heard from it so far does not pick my interest.
Fair enough, personally I like the style, but I can't even afford to support my own girlfriend in this project at the moment :V

The art style looks like one that you would find in a webcomic or something, so does the plot.
Sorry but it doesn't really seem like a visual novel

Well Joe, I never realised that a visual novel is determined by the art style rather than the fact that it work's like a choice-based novel with visuals. :v:
The plot, fair enough I guess, if it's not to your tastes it's not to your tastes, but yet again I don't feel that the fact that it has a plot not fitting the "norms" of visual novels shouldn't detract from the fact that it's a visual novel.
Like how both Harry Potter and Andy McNab's Bravo Two Zero are both books, despite differences in genre and writing styles.
However the more action orientated stance and the disable-able QTE's certainly aren't visual novel tropes, I'll give you that.
