Starting Little Busters, seems promising. How are you guys getting your games? Are you actually buying them or using this one site that has a pink theme and starts with an 'e'.

Profit![/QUOTE] I guess it's only a means to make the protagonist seem more attached to the player, since the targeted audience for visual novels are late teenagers/young adult. Sexual innuendos depends on the visual novel - most of them that has any kind of ero scene will have some to tease the reader, due to the high demand of hentai scenes in visual novel in this industry. Really, I just think a lot of them are similar due to the fact that it stays with the formula that works all the time - like with call of duty (FPS) games today. They don't really see a point into changing them. Although I have played a few visual novels that didn't take place around those stereotypes. What comes to mind here is Kamidori alchemy Meister. It was a pain in the ass to download, but at least the setting's something new and interesting, plus the gameplay is addictive as fuck. Of course, some characters are stereotypes, but that's impossible to do nowadays, every characters has at least a stereotype in mind to begin with. Monster Girl Quest also differs from the high school scheme, but that's only for the sake of making it easier for the main protagonist to get raped. So that's somewhat the bad example. Otherwise, most of them will follow the same starting idea because heh, that's what works and nobody complains about it over there.

So, what's up? You guys are all focused on your own visual novels :v: ?

I've almost completed Deardrops, and after that, I'm probably going to wait for School Days unless something else interesting comes out.

Just to know, what are the characters you mostly use for exploration? As for me: Yuela - Can obliterate everything Wilfred - Double movement and high defence. Kohakuren - Displace, -nuff said Melodiana - She has a great range of weapon making her suitable in fights + she has flight. Elysa - Find her to be a better mage than Emelita And for what I will never use: Suina That lake beast The Thunder Dragon

Wilfred - Adventurer and Tank, boost Yuela because I can Sharty - Flying, fast movement, adventurer, bloodsuck (Very high survivability against a lot of enemies) Uya - Fastest character, adventurer - will replace him by Kohakuren when able to. Emelita - the AOE attack is useful, but otherwise, she will get replaced when I get someone better Serawi - The heal is very useful, ranged bows for almost every elements, however, her stats suck. Otherwise, I set up the characters for what they're best suited for in an environment. I really love adventurer skill as well. also, I find it weird that you cannot change armor on the battlefield, yet you can easily change skills.

That's because you'd need to undress completely to change it. And yeah I used to have Serawi often in my party for healing. Only thing is that later in the game her heal isn't that much efficient, reason I stopped using her and bought tons of potion instead. I only use Sharty for sales, she's easily the best character for that. Also, which story arc are you doing?

It's already enough that I hate over-reactive character.

Kamidora to me is a hard as fuck game. When I got up to chapter 4, all the battles became way to hard for me as all chars wasn't dealing enough dmg and was taking in so much dmg and it would literally take me 2 agonizing hours just to get through one fight. I had to result to spoilerAL..

The worst are the ghost enemies, since they're almost immune to all physical damage. You have to craft elemental weapons all the time to make sure you can destroy each type of enemies at ease, nil weapons are shit.
