Was a fan translation bought out by them, then? Because I swear I'd heard that it'd been fanslated
So I tried looking for some nice Clannad-related pics online.
Things I saw exceeded the level of creepiness and perversion I was prepared to see...

Jesus fuck how are you supposed to remember all those characters? They already have bullshit long names to begin with.
but they're all original charecturs (do not stela)

I thought all Japanese games had characters will bullshit long names.

Well, for sanity sake I will only say that turning off SafeSearch in Google Image search should do the job. I would say this is the best way to look for NSFW content.
Also give DeviantArt a try, I'd say you're likely to find some weird-ass stuff here, too.

whoops I've never played clannad and barely played kanon so forgive me
So is Saya No Uta worth playing?
yesssssssss
yesssssssss
Really? Isn't it creepy as shit?
I didn't find it scary/creepy at all, the writing is good and the story is interesting.
And if you're sensitive to gore there's a remove/darken gore feature.

Oh the gore is fine. Alright, not scary, I'll give it a try.
Finally picked up Fate/stay night. This is actually the second time I start playing this.
The first time I tried reading this I didn't even manage to read through the prologue.
At first I was going to watch the anime but on the second thought I decided to play this instead.
I've already seen the anime but that was years ago (around when it originally aired) so I don't remember about it much.
Playing the game will be a new experience for sure.

I got to the title screen, now for the real thing.

During my playthrough I remembered them all.
Of course, I don't anymore, but still.

Yeah the first time I tried to play Fate/Stay night, I gave up during the prologue since it was so horrendously long and boring.
When the real game started, however...

The fighting scene was nice though. Funny how intense they can make a scene with only one picture.

If you have the Realta Mua patch, there's sword slashes and sound effects all over the place, it's pretty amazing.
So, I wanna get into visual novels more but I don't really know where i should begin. Where's the best place to get them from?

There's a few links in the OP where you can buy them. However some of them are completely impossible to get legit. It's hard to say where the line on piracy stands on visual novels. For an example : Clannad is currently 350 dollars because it's extra rare. Some cannot even be purchased due to the fact we don't have Japanese currency.

If you haven't played any before, I suggest going with a free one to see if you even like it, like Katawa Shoujo.
And after that it depends on which genres you like, if you like romantic highschool VN's (Clannad, Da Capo, School Days) or if you like Mystery VN's (Higurashi, Umineko, Steins;Gate), or maybe Action with gameplay elements (Kamidori Alchemy Master, Fate/Stay Night, Monster Girl Quest).

And if you are unsure if you'll like a certain VN, mangagamer might have a demo of it

Though Kamidori Alchemy Meister is one motherfucking asshole to install :v:
and don't recommend Monster Girl Quest, he'll be traumatized.

I've played Katawa Shoujo and Don't Take it Personally Babe since they're free which is why I wanna get into them more, since I really like this medium. Steins Gate looked pretty interesting so I think I'll try and acquire that.

but the story is amazing and there are so many different endings
[editline]7th April 2012[/editline]
and it has the amazing logic that if a character has CG, you can be raped by her.
[sp]Excluding Unfortunate Lamia though, sadly[/sp]

but, isn't the game a trilogy?
I guess you could call it that, but not really, it's just divided into 3 parts.

How do you know the ending then?
Endings being when you get raped and the game ends.

You forgot the part where 50% of the time they decided to digest you as well.
