It doesn't get really feely until the second season. That's when they start to pile on the feels.
[sp]Both Fuuko and Miazawa (library girl) had really touching "endings" in season one [/sp] also if you count the extra arc episode
Okay, maybe he wasn't an asshole and I should not have used that word. I am not going to go any deeper in this because I don't want to write an immensely large post as to why I take it personally when someone acts like such a victim for no apparent reason.
You're making a big deal out of nothing.
I don't think I could get into any other VNs. The art styles on all of them tend to be too distracting.
[sp]Both Fuuko and Miazawa (library girl) had really touching "endings" in season one [/sp] also if you count the extra arc episode
Oh shit, you're right. But the proportion of feels in the second season are much higher than in the first season imo.

A good basic VN with not too "distracting art" (whatever the fuck that is) are the "Da Capo" series. Personally I like the second one best, but the first one should be played first so you get a grasp on how everything works.
You're making a big deal out of nothing.
It honestly seems like it's the other way around to me

Why are you reading VNs for the art. The art is there so you can get an basic idea of whats happening in the story, and what the characters look like its not meant to be the main focus.

http://narcissu.insani.org/index.html :( Just :( Amazing, absolutely amazing. I'd save a lot though, it crashes tons. Still, I feel so empty inside now, its certainly a must play.

Any good 'tective VNs? I like 'tective stories. I even thought up a basic plot and design for my own VN (or shitty-as-fuck Shemue ripoff) with a 'tective in another dimention.
What about something like Utawarerumono or Muv Luv. In the first you get interactive sections where you control some soldiers in a battle. Just as much planning and strategy needed as in Dragon age. And in Muv Luv you get shit like Which I'd wager is just as exciting to play as anything Mass Effect can throw at you.
Galaxy Angel series comes to mind. It's all light-hearted star trek style stuff, but it's got tactical homeworld-esque battles. Which is fun.

Seem to remember hearing about it but I can't remember the name
I didn't know Lilly browsed this thread. You should have told us sooner!
Haha. Honestly though. It just seems like you get offended by every negative thing someone says about animu/vn you like. Might be the way you write, short posts with bunch of swearing and such, but I somehow get the feeling you're always angry. But yeah, that's just the image I have of you, which is not related so I guess I'll stop here. oh also Gonzou has a big fucking head Or I'm imagining things. I can't quite say.
I assume your talking bout Detective if so- Higurashi if you like figuring out how the culprit did it Unimeko if you want to figure out who the culprit is and how they did it
So the VN is somewhat different than the anime? Can't remember the Higurashi anime having much stuff to figure out. e: goddamn how are VNs this popular now
That's just Chunkymonkey, you get used to it.
I'm surprised you remember. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside... I'll have to get that looked at.
That's just Chunkymonkey, you get used to it.
I'll take your word for it e: whoa fuck off already. damn

Ticked off would be more appropriate.
So the VN is somewhat different than the anime? Can't remember the Higurashi anime having much stuff to figure out. e: goddamn how are VNs this popular now
Honestly I havn't finished reading Higurashi, but imo it depends how you approach it. If you just read it passively without thinking about what is actually happening and who could be responsible then sure it doesn't have much to figure out. But I think that's kinda missing the point of the detective genre in general.
I'm surprised you remember. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside... I'll have to get that looked at.
Sounds like it might be serious, dude. Also, I'm not sure Higurashi really qualifies as "detective" really, more "mystery". Umineko, however, definitely has detective elements.
So the VN is somewhat different than the anime? Can't remember the Higurashi anime having much stuff to figure out.
Every anime based off a VN is different because they have to compress the story for time. This may mean leaving out unimportant details, squashing events together, etc, etc. [editline]1st February 2012[/editline]
Sounds like it might be serious, dude. Also, I'm not sure Higurashi really qualifies as "detective" really, more "mystery". Umineko, however, definitely has detective elements.
Yeah, I think it was more of a mystery.
