While we're at such things, I'm watching the anime of After Story because I wanted to do this after finishing the VN. And for some reason I cried twice when [sp]Tomoya met his grandmother[/sp] and when [sp]he visited his father afterwards[/sp]. I don't know why didn't I cry while reading. Nevertheless, I'm glad I did, that means I'm not that cold.

Sengoku Rance is monmusu quest without the strange fetishes (mostly) if you want something in the same vein but a little less weird. Plus the MC is a massive asshole which is entertaining.

I need to play the VN something fierce, but I have like 5 on the backburner. My Girlfriend is the President! is my current one, followed by Fate/Stay Night, Steins;Gate, Little Busters, and Sengoku Rance.

I think I will try watching a few episodes of Kanon on Youtube. If I like it, I'll give the VN a try.

It is extremely obvious that both Clannad and Kanon animes were made by same company/companies. First of all, similar visual artstyle with only few differences (if not for those eyes it'd be quite easy to mistake these two). Same goes for animations. Secondly, the music is quite similar, I've already catched a song similar to "A couple of idiots". Lastly, it struck me how some characters resemble those from Clannad. Tomoya-like protagonist, a weird girl (Ayu if I recall correctly) who thinks she isn't weird unlike everyone else (pretty much like Fuko) and the main character's (I already forgot his name) aunt (Akiki?), with voice, behavior and jam similar to Sanae and her bread. Oh, and there's that Sunohara-like blond-haired idiot. I hope there'll be someone like Akio, he was the best. Anyways, I'll continue watching tomorrow.

Holy fucking damn, I've spent 4 days reading this entire thread from OP til' now, and by god read every spoiler ever made. I'm not sure if I should look at this as an accomplishment or sadness at spending much of my current life reading it. I've read Little Busters! To the extent of Rin's route and half (I think) of the pink-haired girl's (haven't played it in a while.) since I couldn't get Monster Quest part 1 I skipped and am doing 2, fuck, even on normal I got raped 3 times by [sp]The centaur[/sp] before figuring out how to beat it. The story is okay as of now, working to get into it more. For Clannad though, I've done Kyou's and Tomoyo's routes. I watched the anime first, but both were amazing, Tomoyo's being the best, obviously. Never got to finish the rest though because my computer died on me. I never really thought Fuko's route would contain lots of [sp]feelings [/sp]but I guess it does, so I'll have to go and do it. Been too lazy to get and try Saya no Uta, but I will by the end of this week and play it. From all the hype it sounds like my kind of game with all the gore and shit. Not in a fetish way of course. Well fuck, I can't seem to get spoiler tags to work, someone instruct me on this, because I don't see the icon for it anywhere unless I'm being a dumbass. Tried [(/)spoiler] but it didn't work, and usually that's how I do it. EDIT: I figured it out.

The characters were fantastic, the VN overall a masterpiece, it just makes me sad to know that it's over for me.

And yes it's good, it's the best one I've ever read
