Thank you I'll be sure to remember that the next time I'm playing a vn that I bought.

The problem is that in your frank opinion, if someone didn't buy X, he cannot speak about Y. This goes against any principle for art direction. You don't need to buy something to enjoy it. Hell, you can play Demo to see if you'll enjoy something or not. Seriously, it's really hard at the moment to get any visual novel in any easy way. For old games, you have good old games who sells the game in a working state directly to your computer. For games, you can buy them on steam and play them directly. For VNs, you have to scrub the net, find a good and reliable website that will accept paypal/Credit cards, be ready to spend over 60-100 dollars for the visual novel in question with no translation inside it, find a translation that doesn't suck (That means that to play a visual novel you usually have to wait months for the translation to be finished) and install Japanese Local to run it well in certain cases.
Visual Novel isn't a very easy media to get into for those reasons. I would still say pirating a VN is not an honest thing to do, but very often you don't have a choice. Piracy and the discussion of it is a ban-offense if you brag about it or share a link to any pirated content. Otherwise, you have no obligation not to speak about a game even if you pirated it, and generally as a rule of thumb don't admit you did it, because nobody cares about what you do with your bandwith. However, some Visual Novels are very easy to get and play now, Like Katawa Shoujo or School days that was released in English a few pages back. So maybe in the future you'll be able to get all the visual novels you desire as simply as you would buy old games or Steam games. That's, however, not a thing I can guarantee.

I think you misunderstood what I meant.
But your snooty attitude isn't doing you any favors.

I guess you're right about the whole fact when it comes to visual novels, you really can't find much of anything without using pirate methods.
In other words, I thought playing My Girlfriend Is the President
Is there anybody who wants to make me regret my choice of game?

My Girlfriend Is the President was pretty good I thought.

Look, nobody cares if you(and I don't mean just you) bought it or you didn't just say you played it and leave it at that.
So I found the full version of Nonlinear Geniac (Steins;Gate PS3 OP). Eez very nice.

Okay dude
Anybody recommend any adventure VNs?
Anybody recommend any adventure VNs?
Define adventure, it's quite a vast term.
Anybody recommend any adventure VNs?
Did some tag searching, apparently Bible Black is one. Great story and characters, but it was filled with rape and shit and all that good stuff.
If you're looking for for interactive adventure you could try Kara no Shoujo
Define adventure, it's quite a vast term.
an RPG esque type adventure, with comedy, multiple endings, and other shit.

Well, are you fine with Monster girl and such? Because Kamidori Alchemy Meister has all that.
so I look up monster girl.
and then I was like, "why." I'm peaking interest in Alchemy Meister but the installation instructions for the purchasable version seem to be very extensive

Alchemy Meister is amazing, but installing it literally took everything out of me. You have to be very very careful how you install it, or the stuff won't work. Took me around a full day or two to get everything installed correctly. It was totally worth it though.
I can't believe I was recommended bible black I feel tainted

AFTER LOOKING IT UP.
Wow I guess I'm the only one that enjoyed Bible Black for the plot

Some VNs are a patch-and-go. It seems that Alchemy Meister- you've gotta do 20 backflips to get the thing to work.

Basically, you got the main CD, the Append CD 1 and 2.
Now you have to install the game in the directory it prompts you too (Don't fucking change it any under circumstances), then you have to install the append CD 1, then the 2nd. If it worked, joy. if it doesn't, restart again and hope that you find what didn't work.

To be honest it was really generic, your average run-of-the-mill visual novel.
To be honest it was really generic, your average run-of-the-mill visual novel.
seems to be long as fuck since its 4 point whatever gigs big.

Erm, I don't see how game size correlates with how generic it may be.

Better than a fucking porn I would imagine.
To be honest it was really generic, your average run-of-the-mill visual novel.
Did you actually play it? Because I certainly didn't get a generic vibe from it in any single way.
It was actually a fairly fresh way to do combat, adding a crafting system, upgrade system, an interesting world, actually interesting characters, epic moments, and a fairly complex combat system.
seems to be long as fuck since its 4 point whatever gigs big.
It's like most other visual novels. It's set in a high school and a bunch of girls want you. That's pretty much all there is too it.

Herr, wrong Visual Novel mate. It's place in a city surrounded by a world where you learn to be a craftman and go higher in the rank to be able to explore further.

I was under the impression, that since its so big(game size) it'll have length+much detail or something.

He's talking about the monster highschool VN, not alchemy Meister.
Let me fetch some pics for you, actually.
