I sometimes wonder why people, especially game devs and mods don't seem to realise if they let the community fester in a choking atmosphere of no criticism/acceptance no matter what (not "don't be dicks to people for things about themselves they can't change", but rather "do not criticise fursona1996 for playing out his fantasies in the completely wrong section" type of thing), someone's going to fill it with their fetish and drive everyone else away.
For all of Facepunch's flaws, we at least still get to poke fun at people who say/do dumb shit; there's at least some modicum of quality control.
