And that's why we're one of the better forums out there; probably not the best, but still pretty top-grade. If someone's being a dick or a dunce, people call them out on it; without criticism it could be very hard to get anywhere in life without fucking things up, and if you learn to take criticism and learn from your mistakes, you can make better things; something that certain developers (and publishers) could pay attention to.

Maybe so, but WE'RE still pretty decent folks, right? And that's what matters; that we are intelligent and (mostly) reasonable internet people. Sure we fuck up from time to time; hell I seem to do so a bit more than most for some reason, but all in all we're a cut above the usual Facebooker or "/b-atch", and we tend to know what we're doing, and if we fuck up our fellow posters let us know we fucked up, even if they sometimes don't tell us HOW we fucked up, and in the process they fuck up themselves in regards to transparency and helpfulness.
Miscommunication is a bad thing, mmkay? If we let each other know why we're doing it wrong, rather than just saying "you're doing it wrong", then we all come out of the situation as better people overall. Just a helpful hint for a healthy internet.
Actually, this forum would be like any other forum if this community wasn't so strict on everyone being very civilized/trying to make jokes that aren't usually funny at all. Plus, you guys chase others away at the slightest mention of [any recent community that has risen up in the past year related to young girls].
But you're all so caring about each other when someone's down and sad. It's so sweet. <3

I think it also helps that we have a way to call people dumb without replying directly to them. Without the dumb rating, there would be a lot more flaming/trolling bans.
And to make things even better, you get banned if you bitch about all the people rating you dumb, or for spamming ratings yourself. So it's kind of a semi-self-regulating system.

I never stated that I advocated signing up for a forum you already dislike just to start calling people idiots, and I had initially thought the poster in the screenshot was a random denizen of the forums and not LEETNOOB.
All I was saying was that the typical rule for any official game forum is that insulting someone even in the smallest amount results in disciplinary measures.

I wonder what's the benefit of cooking food? Restoring HP? Buffs?
They said we're not having a hunger meter, so I'm thinking cooking and its benefits will be like paper mario's: You take pre existing edible items and cook them to create other food items that heal more HP/restore MP (or energy in this case) along with other buffs, like electrify your body that shocks enemies on contact
whenever there's cooking or anything like that in a game, I tend to never bother with it

It honestly depends.
If it's like Skyrim and cooking is weak and near useless, then I won't bother, but if it gets good temporary stat increases / special powers then it can be pretty cool.
I'm expecting cooking to basically be a less magical version of alchemy.
