I don't know why they chose to number the winners, why not have all the hats as just 'winners' rather than placing some above others? Sure there's nothing bad about a bit of healthy competition but people will and have questioned why one hat has won over another and that's just going to cause tensions. It might sound trivial but the truth is nearly 400 people put time and effort into this
tl;dr why not "10 winners in no particular order" rather than "this hat is the best out of 380 hats"

So while talking on the IRC a few days ago, and just recently recovering from the resulting aneurysms, apparently there WILL be a hunger mechanic that's toggable, and allegedly it will take around two real hours for your hunger to diminish enough where it's fatal.
I woulda hung around to ask Tiy myself but there was too much stupid offtopic chatter and RP messages I had to leave, blood was dribbling out of my nose
Speaking of brain damage-inducing roleplaying, I think Starbound would be pretty cool for roleplaying and stuff, provided that you play only with friends and set it up well.

More than anything it'll probably be just another meter to worry about to satisfy the OCD players out there
