Casual people think of computers as of rocket science. I know many people who are not really into computer entertainment beside surfing some basic webs and watching movies... They can't install crap by themselves without breaking whole OS and burning their hardware. So there must be some idiotproof platform, where even PnP formats (Plug and play) will be able to be used by yet not born people and animals, probably insects too.
Well instead of creating yet another console, the solution is to demystify computers and teach people that they aren't some magical device. Everyone has no problem learning how to drive; 5yr olds know how to properly hook up devices to a TV to play a game; so it's safe to say people should be able to learn how to use a computer. You can teach yourself how to use a computer in the same way you learn how to ride a bike. It's the same with anything really. Hell, I was able to teach my 94yr old great-grandmother how to completely reinstall her OS, simply because she wanted to know more about it. It's the same problem with Math. A fair amount of people think it's difficult as fuck and only the smartest of people will ever be able to grasp it easily. But they're just setting themselves up for defeat before they even begin. Self-fulfilling prophecies and all that. This is actually getting a little off-topic, so i'll stop here. I just really hate people that give up before they even try. All-in-all I don't really have a problem with chucklefish porting it to ouya as long as it's done after the entire game is complete, and gamepads are supported for the main platforms as well.
Ouya sounds like it will revolutionize the gaming industry much in the same way the Segway revolutionized transportation.
Enough Ouya talk. CAVE TALK NOW
OH MY FUCK IT'S GLORIOUS
Ooh, those are some nice looking caves. Curious about the tents though, perhaps they'll act as like beds from Terraria only more portable?
There's either dinosaurs or spaceships on the surface (at the very top of the image)
My favorite part is the guy holding a futuristic tool to place and remove furniture and create buildings is standing in his fucking underwear What's with his head? It seems kinda bulbous
A little value invert makes the stuff at top way more visible. Apparently there's something that looks like a chameleon almost invisible at the top
Man there appears to be so much content. Get hyped.
A small box you can hook up to your TV/screen and play mobile games on. If you feel like shelling out money to play Angry Birds stretched out on a 40" screen, then that's for you. Also people that get off to Richard Stallman consider it the second coming or something.
It's pretty much an Android tablet without a screen or battery.
Enough Ouya talk.
[SUB][SUP]I'm sorry[/SUP][/SUB]
Enough Ouya talk. CAVE TALK NOW
Dat Cave Camp. My God.
I never thought camping in a cave could look so cool.

I like how there are 2 different tents.
lol wtf u doin there you go. [editline]19th December 2012[/editline] look at all dem munsters
They look like birds if you ask me. I can make out what looks distinctly like a beak and eye on the front of the first one. Also, they seem to have a weird red light ring at the back of them.
What's with his head? It seems kinda bulbous
Looks fine to me. Are you sure you're seeing his blond hair?
Looks fine to me. Are you sure you're seeing his blond hair?
Or he's hydro-cephalic and preorders may be up soon, lots of folk on the forums are going into meltdown over it
maybe we'll get lucky and the meltdown will burn a hole through the planet to the other side, then we could make gravity powered transport tubes!
maybe we'll get lucky and the meltdown will burn a hole through the planet to the other side, then we could make gravity powered transport tubes!
Or just holes to dive into and then pop out on the other side of the planet with a wicked 1080 backflip. But really, how many times did you hear from someone that computers are hard to use... Yet, we only are talking about installing simple softwares and using them. We do not talk about programming, hardware tweaking nor desigining some crap... just simple usage of "common" soft.
You have to remember that people like us grew up with shitty hardware that was slowly getting better. And so to do anything, you had to learn, whether you liked it or not. This applies if you're >=16. Nowadays people are getting crazy shit for absolutely no enduring work.
so i was looking at this [t]http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mbut3oBnzc1rq68cao1_1280.png[/t] [t]http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mbut3oBnzc1rq68cao2_1280.png[/t] and i thought how incredibly amazing it would be to have a world that's exactly like the land of ooo in adventure time shit if the devs don't do this as an easter egg i'm going to do it myself with the mod tools
I don't know. I really want this game, but I can't bring myself to get excited about it until they have a concrete release date. They said 'Summer' and I was like 'Well that's cool, but I doubt it will be done by then' going off what they had at the time. Then they said Q4 2012, and that clearly isn't going to happen. Frankly, I think a more accurate timeline would be Q2 2013 to be honest. I haven't been following this tremendously, and they really haven't covered what I want to see (unless I'm completely remiss and completely missed out on it) But what I want to see are underground dungeons, and how you can loot them. I want to see NPCs you can interact and trade with, and I want to see the crafting/catalog system. I also want to see how exactly you begin your journey and what you need to explore the galaxy. Also, has Tiy said anything about already populated planets? Like planets with cities on them? Or the inverse; abandoned/derelict cities? To me it just feels like we have just been looking at the random creature/weapon/planet generation and not really at the nitty-gritty that really makes this game appeal to me. Am I wrong, are there videos he posted to the contrary?

Ever Oh and yes, planets are populated/derelict as they are generated.
I hope there are unique and rare biomes for whole planets, kind of like spore's storybook planets [t]http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20081013230103/spore/images/b/ba/Gears_storybook_planet.jpg[/t]
The game will probably be ready summer of next year. lol
