and robot ammunition that becomes self aware before impact.
Robot knights wielding robot swords.
"I think I should be doing something more important with my life."
Guise, how do I stop my bullets from going to college and starting a family?
Guise, how do I stop my bullets from going to college and starting a family?
Shoot them at rocks.
Guise, how do I stop my bullets from going to college and starting a family?
Introduce them to Nietzsche at a very impressionable age; or give them Atlas Shrugged for for their 15th birthday. One or the other.
and robot ammunition that becomes self aware before impact.
This is a complete record of the ammunition's thoughts before it missed its target.
Ah! What's happening? Er, excuse me, who am I? Hello? Why am I here? What's my purpose in life? What do I mean by who am I? Calm down, get a grip now... oh! This is an interesting what is it? It's sort of... tingling sensation in my... my... well, I suppose I'd better start finding names for things if I want to make any headway in what for that sake of what I shall call an argument I shall call the world, so let's call it my body. Good. Ooooh, it's getting quite strong. And hey, what about this whistling roaring sound going past what I'm suddenly going to call my head? Perhaps I can call that... wind! Is that a good name? It'll do... Perhaps I can find a better name for it later when I've found out what it's for. It must be something very important because there certainly seems to be a hell of a lot of it. Now, have I built up any coherent picture of things yet? No. Never mind, hey, this is really exciting, so much to find out about, so much to look forward to, I'm quite dizzy with anticipation . . . Or is it the wind? There really is a lot of that now, isn't there? And wow! Hey! What's this thing suddenly coming toward me very fast? Very, very fast. So big and wide and round, it needs a big wide-sounding name like . . . ow... ound . . . round . . . ground! That's it! That's a good name- ground! I wonder if it will be friends with me?
And the rest, after a sudden loud noise, was silence. Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the next bullet as it went into the penguin was "Oh no, not again." Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bullet had thought that, we would know a lot more about the nature of medieval Robot cowboys than we do now.

I do wish Tiy would use a mic or something instead of typing in streams.
I do wish Tiy would use a mic or something instead of typing in streams.
The odd thing is he DOES have a mic. Why he doesn't speak is the real question I'm assuming it's either because he's shy, OR he wants the viewers to listen to the game

"MWOHKAY DISS EAAAAR IS UHH SOME UHHH WOARLD GENNERASHINNN.. AND UHHHH.. MMMH.. UHHH THERRS AN ENEMAY CRAYTURE."
Guise, how do I stop my bullets from going to college and starting a family?
raise them as middle eastern extremists. second thought on that idea, they'd be the first thing to go BAM before yelling, "FOR ALLAH!"
We should all pester Tiy to start talking in streams.
Maybe late, but what's starbound being made with? Tools wise.
Maybe late, but what's starbound being made with? Tools wise.
I'd assume a mouse and keyboard.
Maybe late, but what's starbound being made with? Tools wise.
C++
Maybe late, but what's starbound being made with? Tools wise.
gamemaker

Oh god, nobody posted these yet? That UI is ugly to me. I mean the star field/solar system/planet portion of it looks great, but the rest looks all.. 256x256 like, which I personally can't stand. I hope it scales with resolution like the rest of the game appears to
I really hope we can find derelict ships. Or abandoned asteroid mining bases at the very least. Imagine a space adventure game where the narrative is not explicitly told to the player, but is found in certain logs/fragmented news reports or journals that appear randomly throughout a galaxy. Would make multiplayer really fun as people would trade facts and information about what actually occurred.

Forgot about the game for a few months and I see it's looking as great as ever. Tried googling a bit but didn't find anything on the release date, has there not been anything else than "q1 2013"?
When its ready.

Ugh, I'm so hyped!
I haven't checked on this thread in a while, have they said anything about Player to NPC or NPC to NPC interaction? I mean planets with an ecosystem of animals that eat other animals would be interesting.
It wouldn't surprise me to see predator/prey relationships on a planet, especially with how ridiculously detailed that this game is. And as for the NPC interaction, yes. There will be deeply manicured and meticulously scripted NPC>NPC/ NPC>player sequences during the story, but as for on multiplayer and whatnot, I can't say.
When its ready.
Pretty sure this is the official release time.
