Why is it whenever pictures of cute little procedurally generated animals make it to this thread everyone talks about how they're gonna murder/mutilate/stick it in a coliseum and watch it fight tigers to the death/infect it and release it into the wild/mutate/abuse the shit out of it
Because apparently mass-genocide is cool, and being a nice guy is lame. I'll stick to being lame.
I would graft chainguns onto the most innocent looking creature I could find
Being able to augment captured animals with mechanical parts like that would be really cool. Depending on how moddable it is, it should be possible to add it pretty quick, given how their animation system works for parts already.

What I'd really become aroused over would be the ability to make a Zoo and start collecting them. Be a wild life preserver of sorts.
Then we could also make Blastoise, and hopefully a bunch of other pokemon.
I'd make an army of corgis armored in plate mail. They would be the space marines of my military, sent down to fuck shit up wherever the mechanized cyborg penguin footsoldiers could not.
people in this thread talk about stupid overdeveloped features they want in the game that obviously aren't going to be in the game
yeah, this thread has a serious case of Spore Syndrome.
well we have modding tools so it shouldn't be too difficult to add our odd wetdreams to the game
people in this thread talk about stupid overdeveloped features they want in the game that obviously aren't going to be in the game
Oh I don't actually expect any of these things to be in the game. But for some reason it's amusing to talk about them
seriously some of you people are going to be disappointed when you find out that you can't
graft chainguns onto the most innocent looking creature I could find

Being able to augment captured animals with mechanical parts like that would be really cool. I'm pretty sure that last one isn't serious... Right?
seriously some of you people are going to be disappointed when you find out that you can't
Mods. Mods can fix anything because mods are magic
I'm pretty sure that last one isn't serious... Right?
If I can mod it in it's happening.
I'd create an army of standing crocodiles that make no noise other then walking. Then I'd unleash it on some newcomer at night.
seriously some of you people are going to be disappointed when you find out that you can't etc
I said it would have to be a mod, though. Custom limbs seem like they'll be possible to mod in.
Should we post a suggestion on the forum about modifying creatures with mechanical parts? There's a chance they might see it and actually add it in. Better than fantasizing about it.
Yeah, I wouldn't even get your hopes up about that.
Yeah, I wouldn't even get your hopes up about that.
I'm not but we should still post it. I mean, there are countless shitty ideas on the forums. Why not add one more good one? if you were in my corgi army id have you executed for defeatism :c
Should we post a suggestion on the forum about modifying creatures with mechanical parts? There's a chance they might see it and actually add it in. Better than fantasizing about it.
added this to the list of shit that isn't going to happen
i have an idea let's rename starbound to fuck shit up the game [editline]25th January 2013[/editline] that'll happen, right?? thats easy to do
you call us dumb for wanting things and discussing them. we found our way to pass the time how bout you? got something positive to add? anyway now that is off my mind. i want a submarine shaped like a giant fish with lots of gadgets it can manipulate to capture land based rodents more easily. and have it pedal powered.
you call us dumb
Assuming you're referring to Morphology's post "seriously some of you people are going to be disappointed" Nothing about said post implies that people are dumb
The only thing I want to do is just catalog the creatures I've found, and capture a few of them, and those features have been confirmed to be added, though I doubt they'll be in the beta if we get one. I'm more excited for the more plausible stuff, like building and exploring.
i want a submarine shaped like a giant fish with lots of gadgets it can manipulate to capture land based rodents more easily. and have it pedal powered.
I'm going to laugh when an explosion sends you into the stratosphere. [sp]Meowth that's right![/sp]
well just like Renegadecop said, a reference loses its potency when in it starts popping up in a LOT of games.
Okay, uh... Borderlands 2.... Um... Uh... Shit, there's no other games I can think of that Creepers pop up in! WELL THEN.
Okay, uh... Borderlands 2.... Um... Uh... Shit, there's no other games I can think of that Creepers pop up in! WELL THEN.
I think there's a minecraft easter egg in Torchlight 2 where creepers appear as well. There's also a creeper hidden in a paid version of Stick RPG 2.
So let's compile a nice paragraph or two for the suggestion we'll make, then one of us can post it. [editline]24th January 2013[/editline]
I think there's a minecraft easter egg in Torchlight 2 where creepers appear as well. There's also a creeper hidden in a paid version of Stick RPG 2.
That easter egg in TL2 is rare as shit, mate.
Also, Awesomenauts just recently, though it sort of makes sense since Clunk is a guy built around exploding.
Okay, uh... Borderlands 2.... Um... Uh... Shit, there's no other games I can think of that Creepers pop up in! WELL THEN.
AirMech has a creeper as a unit.
