Really? I feel like The Glitch are the only ones with a creative name. Avians is just a self descriptor because they are bird people, Floran is just a self descriptor because they're plant people. Apex is somewhat creative with their background story, but I feel like they really just wanted to fit in a pun about how they are ape people.

Yeah, its a pun, but Apex predators are top of the food chain guys, and that fits well with the whole Planet of the Apes style thing they have for the Apex

Since the robots are now called the Glitch, when I finally play it I'm probably going to design my robot character to look like Glitch from Metal Arms: Glitch In The System if I can.

Avian because Avian means bird.
Apex because it has the word Ape in it, and they're super smart, so they are at the Apex of society.
Neither are at all creative.
At least "The Glitch" has to do with the fact that a glitch in their programming has trapped them in a perpetual medieval society.
Again, not super creative, but not any worse than the other names.

The aliens are also very cliché from a cultural standpoint. The Avians are Aztecs, the fish seem to be samurai, the Apex are the Galactic Empire, and the Glitch are knights.

I can't see myself spending too much time on the ship if we can only choose from premade layouts
I don't understand why they wouldn't allow you to construct whatever ship you want from those room modules
I hope the Glitch spaceships are just medieval boats with thrusters on the back.
ideally you could choose from a bunch of different hulls with different shapes and styles that just give you the 'shell' and then fill out the interior with blocks to make whatever you want
