Either way, I look forward to just multiple races period, and seeing mods in action. I'm really glad they decided to go with making it moddable, because maybe one day we'll see a bunch more unique, fun races added that have cool backstories.

Just from looking around the community at pre-release, I'm predicting a situation like Minecraft and some other games where it's really difficult to find the good, well-made, fitting mods among a sea of shit.
But I did recently find out about that FtB modpack for Minecraft, which really got me back into the game.

EDIT: Hints of release date (no confirmation from my knowledge): 2013 somewhere Q3/Q4, around that time anyway it seems. I guess it's a bit long but honestly I'd like to wait if it means it will be better when released.

Like 12 years ago, or whenever when the first harry potter came out (has it really been that long?) I was eating at Macdonalds or some fast food place and a little kid being carried by his dad came up to us and asked if I was Ron Weasley and if I knew Harry Potter and Hermoine Granger.
I looked the kid in the face and said 'absolutely not' or something like that. The kid's dad made this sort of face and said thanks anyway. Then my mom told me I should have said yes.
I like to think my sense of humor I've improved somewhat since I was 10. Lol.

Yep, adventure and exploration are the only two primary, if not only selling points of this game and terraria imo.
The construction looks alright, but unless planets can be attacked from external forces or something I don't really see myself building a base on any one planet aside from convince items like a tent or bed. Pretty much due to the fact that sooner or later you will out level the planet, and it would be more efficient to manage your inventory on the ship's storage than travel to that planet repeatedly and waste fuel.
Unless there are reasons for needing certain equipment on a planet. Like for example, finding a planet with an incredibly rare and unique blend of gasses or materials that need to be combined in its gravitational field for whatever reason before it can be transported off world. THAT would be cool and would make finding a planet like that just as exciting as finding a cool item or dungeon.

I heard 1st quarter of 2013, but that may be wrong as well
