Oh god, it would be amazing, I love when games reference other games or have easter eggs pertaining to other games, it would be cool if they made it a rare world to get, but you could do everything on that planet that you could do in terraria. Like being able to fight all of the bosses, get gear there that would be really special and would only be able to get there like cobalt, hallowed, mythril armour. The only problem with that is that it would make Terraria obsolete, but I still think it would be cool.

I went through their suggestions forum. Someone posted basically the same thing, and the reply was "yeah tiy already stated that he refuses to purposely put in explicit references to terraria. besides, that would be a copyright issue." Shame, I wanted that too.

There was some drama between Blue and Redigit from what I've heard. Although Blue isn't actually working on Starbound, he's just a mod on their forums.

If memory serves right some of that said drama stemmed from Blue's reaction to thebestgamersUSA's video of Terraria, seeing as they found Blue's DA and completely slammed him

Alien diseases would actually be kind of neat, you can randomly contract some random disease and it has some negative modifier until you cure it, an environmental suit could protect/prevent. Then craft a cure somehow using ingredients that counter it's effects. Maybe even whole planets that you can't enter without some kind of gas mask.
That'd probably work; hostile environments might have stuff to do that can't be accomplished by drones, and thus you'd need protective equipment.

Yeah, very rarely do they talk about the game, most of the time it's a bunch of jaggoffs talking about random shit, it was infuriating. I think the worst case I had was going in there one day to find someone being an absolute cunt, while asking for Java coding information. I wanted to tell him to fuck off but the mods forced me to drop it. He continued to stay there and be a cunt. I hope he's just as socially retarded in real life so he doesn't make any friends.
moral of the story: The IRC is pretty useless, let others endure the bullshit and post it on the forums, then we'll just take that info and put it here. As a matter of fact, don't browse the forums for an extended period of time, either. It's pretty painful to read

Whenever i join a IRC channel always like 90%-100% of all the users are AFK which is pretty goddamn annoying all the time.
