I couldn't imagine it looking any other way.
I can.

A good way would be a bit harder.
While you do have a point, I'd sooner have a game with above-average pixelized graphics and excellent gameplay, rather than a game with extremely fluid and detailed sprites with dull as dish-water gameplay.
so you'd rather have a real good GBA platform game than duke nukem forever? i'm down.

What?
How?
Why?
Who are you and why are you on Facepunch?

If memory serves right the fish is actually a debug pickaxe that's capable of chewing through the environment at ridiculous speeds.

I hope they leave that in the game, at least so you can obtain it through cheating. That sounds like an entertaining item to use.
I wonder if the left and right sides of the menu are reserved for certain types of stuff or it's just coincidental that they're lined up like that.
If so, it'd probably be what they were talking about earlier that you'd have to prepare on certain loadouts before you land on a new planet from the space station.

Looking at it, is it just me or is that screenshot zoomed in really far or something? Even on my monitor I'd barely be able to see anything with the view that far in. Does that mean that your view isn't going to be static or something?
Well it was said that there would be sniper rifles that could extend your view. Maybe zooming in or out is something like panning the screen?
[editline]25th June 2012[/editline]
Or it's just bigger to show the little diagrams of the slopes' collision boxes.
Holding "LEFT CTRL" allows you to pan your current veiw around with the mouse a certain distance. Tiy states that it is possible items will increase your pan range. He says this will be important for sniper rifles so you can see further to find your targets.
From the list of announced game info on the forums
That's a pretty neat idea, I hope there will also be 'normal' items like scopes or binoculars.
If you can zoom out so everything is 1:1, then I will take back everything I ever said about the art.
This is what I mean by 1:1

Holy shit that is sexy.
But guiys, that might give you an advantage in pvp, the resolution must be 800x480 or it won't be fair!
:downs:
Anyway, that lava planet looks fucking awesome, now if I only had more then 1 monitor...
Metal trees huh? pretty neat
I like that apocalyptic looking world. Looks like it'd be awesome to set up a base there.

What the fuck are you talking about? Did I miss a screenshot or something?

The picture is literally 5 posts above of your post.
Any window for release on this?
It was supposed to be summer, bit it's been delayed to an unknown time frame.

I would constantly be getting lost in that... Not that I could use my second monitor for it easily I'd think anyways. 1920x1080 and 1366x768 don't match very well. :v:

I don't see an apocalyptic world, I see a robot tree world and a volcanic worl-
Oh, you guys just don't see well.

Calm your shit, I'm decently sure he mistook the volcanic pictures for an apocalyptic world, those rocks look an awful lot like skyscrapers.

Source for that?
Nothing about that on the twitter page, or the main page.
I'm just regurgitating information I've read in this thread.

Oh, who said that then? Because it would have been posted somewhere if they had really delayed it.
