Have they said anything about environment suits? Things you need to go in lava/poison or whatnot?
Oh god the Super Metroid memories. Gravity Suit is the shit.
Oh, who said that then? Because it would have been posted somewhere if they had really delayed it.
It's mentioned all over the starbound forums and their IRC.
But no official sources...
They could be refraining from stating it officially to avoid negative backlash, but we won't be seeing it til later this year. All I can offer you are quotes from the IRC, but if you want proof yourself, go to the IRC and ask. Everyone there'll tell you the end of the year
yeah. im kinda hoping it'll be like october when they release it. providing its done that is. wouldn't want to be playing another beta for a year or 2 before the creator says its complete. and still runs like crap >_>
I hope he releases linux server files. I like to keep linux on my dedicated box.

Is the game still coming out this summer? I'm too lazy to flip through twenty pages to find out myself.

Swimming is actually a really basic thing that was a pain in Terraria, because you couldn't.

While it's not particularly informative, I have to give credit to the Dev's sense of humor, this is a topic from the forums, as posted by a Dev:
they really need some more updates. even tiny little "we made a sandwich" posts about starbound would make me happy
It's a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, guys.
I have never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich....
I have never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich....
Where are you from?
it sounds like a terrible combination imo
it sounds like a terrible combination imo
It's okay, but peanut butter and honey is where it's at.
Where are you from?
Finland. I'm not sure if there is peanut butter at the local shop, and even if there was, not sure of jelly, and even if there was, no idea what kind of jelly to use.... :smithicide:

I'll keep that in mind if I see anything that looks like jelly at the stores at some point.
I'll keep that in mind if I see anything that looks like jelly at the stores at some point.
Siis ihan joku vadelmahillo käy tai sitten jotain marmeladia ja ei sitten suklaapähkinävoita ;) vaan ihan pähkinästä tehtyä. Oh and they don't taste so good anyway...

You can replace jelly with jam, if used in reasonably small amounts. Grape being the most common, with strawberry following in second. Jelly is pretty much jam with less sugar and a slightly different texture. Not that I expect you to try a peanut butter and jelly. I like learning about food differences between the US and Europe.

Yeah I never have tasted one either. Nor have I ever spoken to someone who eats them (or at least, it has never come up). Guess it's more of an American tradition.

That water tech demo
SO AWESOME!
They got some flashlight fetish or something :v:
Oh god, you could make a water vortex to kill drowning players.
Of interest to note is that we’re all in 3 different countries, one of which is across an ocean, yet the net gameplay was as smooth as you see in the video.
:aaa:
Amazing.
This is ridiculously awesome, when is the beta?
