God I loved vessel.
I always felt bad when I killed one even if it was one of the stalkers
i'll have to get vessel, its one of those i've heard about for awhile but there was always something else that had my attention.
Take my money already!
Tiy just asked on Twitter if we would prefer an underwater race or a robot race. @Tiyuri to answer

Robot race for me. An aquatic race sounds cool, though

Robot. No doubt about it.
Thinking about it, since there would be no distinct difference between races, an underwater one wouldn't make sense as they couldn't, you know, survive under water.
Is anyone actually gonna play as Apex?
I'd rather pick humans considering how similar they are.
Aquatic for sure.

Yes because the only way to live in water is to live in water without any sort of buildings or breathing apparatus.
I'm pretty torn, an aquatic race kind of ensures some aquatic content though.
Avian; the galaxy needs at least a few Falcos.

I'd rather not play as hairy humans.
I am
Probably my first guy will be human.
It'll depend on what other hairstyles and stuff it comes with, but I want to try those plant people out.
I'll need to see a full species roster before I make my choice, it'd be neat though if my different characters could interact, kinda of like how all your save games in Spore affect each other a little bit. Maybe even have all your characters on one space station, and when they're not used, they just wander around.

Why don't we have both?

Get one immediately, the other will be obtained in future DLC.

Terraria's thread was active up until Redigit dropped the game. It was just less active after 3-4 weeks after an update because by then the regulars had already finished all the new content.

How do you know?!

you should get it
the puzzles are pretty hard, especially later in the game. but it's really fun, with an AWESOME ending.
robot race all the way are you kidding me
I think an underwater race would be more interesting.
as much as I love Robits, I'd sooner see an underwater creature for variety's sake.
gonna most likely play as a plant person though :v:
Well we already got a "technological" style with the Apex and their Aperture Science meets Orwell kind of "dungeon". Robots would be similar, whereas aquatic creatures, well.. Imagine, glass domes, corral reefs, breathing apparatuses (available earlier than for other races, for example)
I guess in the end we'll get both, unless they got something other planned for the 5th race slot :v:
Robots are way better, since they always have such a different "biology" and more interesting point of view than your average fish man or bird man.
Can cats control the robots? If so, robots all the way!
You know what race would be better? Penguins. it fits the underwater race too.
just look at these guys

how can you not want to play as them
blue penguins that explode, dood
blue penguins that explode, dood
But then you'd explode whenever you landed after a jump or a slight change in terrain elevation.
Actually that'd pretty much be the best damn hard mode ever.
