How would an aquatic space ship work? Probably mostly the same as an oxygen filled one. Oxygen is an extremely corrosive gas, after all. But in the way of wiring and circuits, they could possibly keep those in airlock-esque panels, to keep the water away from them. Maybe their circuits aren't made of silicon, and are water resistant, as unscientific as that sounds. Heck, maybe they've found an energy alternative to electricity.

You know what'd be cool? A grappling hook similar to the Harpoon in Terraria. I always thought the grappling hook in Terraria was too easy to use, and too easy to take for granted. I'm talking about a grappling hook you actually have to equip to use, not just have in your inventory. It would have an arched trajectory, and double as a weapon. Also, extendable/retractable chain.
You know what? I'd rather plow through terrains with a tank rather than try to make peace with the earth and swing by like an ape.
I don't even know how an aquatic species would advance very far in the first place. How would they discover metal if they can't make fires?
I don't even know how an aquatic species would advance very far in the first place. I dunno if that would be enough, but volcanoes, both undersea and island, would also help.
I always figured an aquatic race would simply some fish people in domed cities underwater.

Ideal Starbound feature. Free form swinging from ropes and whatnot. Physics please. Water, slopes, and now they need actual gravity affecting players swing trajectories and all that fun stuff.

At least some of them. Which could lead to interesting things like hangable ropes for an obstacle course, and being able to cut or shoot a rope to make someone plummet to their doom.
there are pockets under the sea that create intense heat
Hydrothermal vents? Those would be vital to the tech development of any undersea civilisation beyond a certain point. I'd like to see those (and other geothermal features, like geysers, on the surface and underground) as environment features if nothing else.
... CLEAR! *Bzzt* Man, when there isn't new content this thread dies quick.
We could go back to arguing about Robots v. Mermen.
We could go back to arguing about Robots v. Mermen.
How about merman-robots from space?
Man, when there isn't new content this thread dies quick.
The Terraria thread was the same way. it would go 2-3 days between updates pretty often.
so why revive it [editline]22nd October 2012[/editline]
We could go back to arguing about Robots v. Mermen.
no competition [t]http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs40/f/2009/037/e/f/Robot_dance_by_C_Puff.gif[/t]

i wish they would release more video media, i want to see more of what the game looks like in motion.
http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs40/f/2009/037/e/f/Robot_dance_by_C_Puff.gif[/t]
i need that as my avatar. Also I hope there will be an abandoned lab dungeon "theme". Like, every dungeon will be different in not just design. Temple, lab, alien-infested hive, etc etc. also to go along with that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DJQ_7jKIm24
surprised no one suggested dildos i suggest dildos
Nonsense, that's too adult for a game like this. I suggest personal massagers.
