Jesus, I hated Terraria's community. There was a thread where people actually DIDN'T want mod support, thinking Redigit would add all their heart's desires. Look how that turned out. Idiots

Man, I wish I could find that signature one of the mods had before they got modded.

Had some self-insert "gamer" pony OC and some other silly stuff I can't remember.
Why do all these games have terrible shit communities? Is it the artstyle? Castle Story, Terraria, Minecraft, Starbound and it goes on. Fucking hate it, can't imagine what it is like to be a dev, having to act nice to all the retards to not lose sales.
Or they're not assholes and don't give a shit about what their fans like? Just a thought.

Dude please, I'm "in" one of the aforementioned "fandoms", and yet I despise some people who are in it. I don't go around forums/IRCs posting one-liner RP lines "bcuz furry 4 lyfe nygguh". It's common sense, not abiding to it means you don't have manners. I don't care about your avatar, your signature, but if all your responses end with *insertcreepysnugglyRPhere* ^.^, or RP's in the middle of someone's conversation, then it's time to think about what you're doing.
Seeing this, Starbound is bound to have not a nude mod as a first mod, but a pony mod :v:

Oh and Tiy, come on and post here so we see you, or find this thread at least :v:

Tiy actually posted in this thread when it first started, he doesn't come here often anymore, and that's probably for the best
guys what if you could create your own armor and import shit from other games
cortex command coalition, anyone?
They did mention mod support.
CC's sprites would need quite a bit of adjusting, I would think.
Apparently somewhere on the forums they say that mod support is going to be LUA scripting.

Yes, it's Lua though, as Lua is not an abbreviation.

RIP in peace Lintz. We'll bury him in space via the garbage capsule, just launch him out there.
Now back to talking about Starbound: What kinda base do you guys want to have on your home planet?
Gravity gun

Fuck me that's cool, I wonder if that's the weapon they mentioned that can tear chunks out of the environment and hurl them
Fuck me that's cool, I wonder if that's the weapon they mentioned that can tear chunks out of the environment and hurl them
I think it's this gravity gun
"we stated very early that the player could walk up to a space and lay down a block there, in the same way you would in Minecraft. The other day, we were sitting around, playing Little Big Planet, and, you know, when you place an item and there will be a thing that pops out of the player's arm, and when you’re playing online you can see all the others players moving their things around and placing objects. You get a much better sense of what others players are actually doing, rather than swimming their arms and spawning blocks that are just appearing around. About Starbound, we said that we should have something similar. So now, when you place blocks in Starbound, you actually do it with a gravity gun, and the gun has a big beam that comes from the gun to the block-box, every other players can see you moving the blocks around, and your beam turns red if you're too far out range, and it gives you a much more interactive experience..."

I think it's this gravity gun
That's even better, so THAT'S how building is going to work. Kickass.
I wouldn't mind having a gravity gun for combat too. Pull dirt out of the ground and lob it at the enemies.

They already mentioned a weapon like that months ago, I just thought the screenshot was it, but no that's the block/item placer tool. Which is really neat actually, I like it better than the character swinging their arm out for blocks
