That's why I can't genuinely like the Space Marines or the Imperium; too xenophobic even in such a cynical galaxy where there's a million things trying to kill you. They should honestly just buddy-up with the Eldar and Tau to fight back against Chaos, Necrons, Orks and fuckin' Tyranids. Sure they might still get fucked, but at least they'd get fucked together.

This is one reason why I like the Orks. The Orks aren't xenocidal. They aren't trying to kill all of the other races because they're different. They're trying to kill them because they're [i]there[/i], and they have fun killing things. Hell, they infight almost as much as they rampage across the galaxy. If they were much smarter, they'd intentionally try to [i]not[/i] eradicate species, so that they'd always have something to fight. And loot, can't forget their love looting shiny bitz.

I think the general thought is that people can be peaceful irl but not genocidal. So they can resort to that in games just fine.
