This is very cool! I will defiantly be following this!
Don't do it if you don't want to ;)
It sounds like Terraria with more gameplay aspects, vehicles, weather, etc. I like it.
wallpaper of the week #3 is up

What the fuck is up with everyone spelling it "Defiantly"?

I'm sure that's down to chromes shitty spell check.
Sounds like a Chrome problem; I don't get any of those problems with my Firefox. (not intending to fire up a battle-of-the-browsers, just saying it like it is)
I hope we get some sort of Terraforming minigame or something. I'd personally enjoy that.

That's no excuse, i use chrome, i don't spell it like that.

In the "About" section, you'll see that once you declare a planet to be your homeworld, you can terraform it to your heart's content.

Not everyone can spell every word correctly, there are some words i always spell incorrectly even though I've seen them hundreds of times before.

Not at all firefox usually had a better spell checker anyway.

I never said i expected people to spell everything corrrectly, i just think it's weird how so many people spell it "defiantly" which is a completely different word.
Why is everyone talking about spelling mistakes and auto-correction in a video game thread.
Terraria in Space? Sold. Some of the existing art resources (like dirt) kinda annoy me, but that could always be fixed.

I had that issue for ages, annoyed the hell out of me. I just broke it down to "de-finite-ly", that helped me so much.
so all in all computer programming isn't perfect. nor google or mozilla can say their spell checker is better without a few typos.
i wonder if there will be any encounters in space, or if it will be like and instance system where you navigate a map, click a star and enter its system.
Terraria in space, with nigh endless possibilities, weather, spaceships, and more. I AM THROWING MONEY AT THE SCREEN BUT NOTHING HAPPENS, HELP!
It's been confirmed that you ONLY PLAY ON THE PLANETS!
It is not Terraria IN SPACE, you can just travel to different, randomized planets.
You will just use your space ship to go to a different planet from a menu or map or something.
-Snippety-
This all looks cool, but can I be Nathan Fillion?

False. There's a whole metagame thing going on with the spacestation. You can walk around and interact with the people and items you find during your journey, you can upgrade your station with various facilities and do research to improve your weapons and armour. Will you be floating around in a spacesuit in space shooting spaceslimes with your spaceguns? Probably not. But to say that you don't get to play on the spacestation at all is wrong. Besides, the whole point of the game is to explore these massive worlds that are completely unique to you, with everything from backgrounds to animals having elements of randomisation to keep it fresh. The space station is a vessel that carries the overarching narrative, the meat of the game lies in the exploration of planets and all the things associated with that.
Reminds me a bit of Cortex Command.

Well I meant the space travel thing, but thanks for more information.
5$ says the space sphere will be randomly generated in the game and well hidden.
No thanks.
I want to shoot some random wildlife in this game. I have no idea why.
Imagine a hunting minigame, or a zoo that you can start.
That would be glorious.
Abduct species from one planet, drop them on another and let them mess up the ecosystem.
this sound like something i've played before... it was real popular, based on the theory of evolution...hmm...
Yeah felt somewhat like it was a dumbed down piece of shit compared to what it could have been too.
