I recently bought Pokemon Black (Four hours ago), and I would need a hand to help me name my Tepig (Don't judge me). What I have in mind so far is: Ganon Hamington Boariss That would help me a lot to have some suggestion.
La Bomba
Lil' Porkchop

What starters do you guys generally pick in playthroughs? The first Pokemon game I ever played was LeafGreen, and I picked Bulbasaur simply because my favorite color was green. Ever since then, I always picked Grass-types. Also: these games are like fuckin' crack cocaine. I haven't been up to date lately mainly because I'll play it 24/7. The first all-nighter I ever did was when I played the shit out of Emerald which I shortly obtained after LeafGreen. I think I'll pick up B&W to chew on during the summer.
HNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG <3 A bit dissapointed at the fact Cheren is just a Normal-Type gym leader, though. Why not a Dark-type one? Also, ten bucks they make N just like Red in GSC and you get the chance to battle him after beating the game [editline]14th May 2012[/editline]
What starters do you guys generally pick in playthroughs? Depends on the game. I generally don't pick grass types due to limited move pools bad typing and generally having attrition based gameplay. Although generally water pokemon are quite easy to find sometimes the water starters can be so exceptional you just about have to pick them. Which leaves me usually picking fire types because they are the hardest to get.
You think THATS bad, you should try fighting my dusclops. Will-O-Wisp/Toxic Pain Split Curse Nightshade It annihilates ANYTHING that can't break him down (which isn't much) Pain split, curse and willowisp together is just ugly once it gets up, they pretty much HAVE to switch, in which case I can painsplit again and fully heal off any damage.
i run stallbreaker mew for that kind of thing
i run stallbreaker mew for that kind of thing
Mew is disgusting and you should be ashamed for using such a cheap pokemon. Don't say it's balanced, it can do anything in the entire game and it can do it well. It's impossible to predict it.

Anyway I'm making a drizzle team out of boredom and I'm having some issues picking the last pokemon. Current team is Politoed/Toxicroak/Tentacruel/Dragonite/Parasect/Kingdra I feel like I am lacking a physical wall though.
Mew is disgusting and you should be ashamed for using such a cheap pokemon. Don't say it's balanced, it can do anything in the entire game and it can do it well. It's impossible to predict it.
Generally anything mew can do can be done better other pokemon for example reuniclus has higher attack and a better ability. As for baton passing you could say he is outclassed by gorebyss because of how amazing shell smash is. Further more nearly all of the popular sets of mew can be countered by a simple taunt or atleast hinder it massively. Once you figure out what the foe is planning he loses his primary niche which is unpredictability. There is a reason he has been demoted to UU.
Hamlet :v:
Hgggggnnnn! I like this one, thanks for the name. Thanks to everyone one else by the way, I can finally start my Black adventure.
You think my strategy is cruel? Try playing against a team of tyranitar gliscor heatran scizor reuniclus and rotom-W.
Drizzle Jirachi is infinitely more cruel than anything else in OU.
Mew is disgusting and you should be ashamed for using such a cheap pokemon. Don't say it's balanced, it can do anything in the entire game and it can do it well. It's impossible to predict it.
Uhm, Mew is balanced. The amount of powerful Bugs and Darks in UU smash through him easily, and his offensive stuff is less than stellar. Mew's only pro is his unpredictability, which only takes two or three moves to see through. That said, he's a good Pokémon, I run him.
