Hgggggnnnn!
I like this one, thanks for the name.
Thanks to everyone one else by the way, I can finally start my Black adventure.
Was the first thing that came to my mind. Glad you like it.
Drizzle Jirachi is infinitely more cruel than anything else in OU.
Uhm, Mew is balanced. The amount of powerful Bugs and Darks in UU smash through him easily, and his offensive stuff is less than stellar. Mew's only pro is his unpredictability, which only takes two or three moves to see through. That said, he's a good Pokémon, I run him.

The previously mentioned Jirachi is a goddamn bastard to kill, especially with his fire weakness removed by Poli.
Jirachi would be quite a hard counter for my team indeed which would probably require a sacrifice.
Kingdra could kill him well enough atleast and perhaps even Parasect if he is all set up or manages to get a spore off.
I could even go for a really risky move with putting in toxicroak to sucker punch it if truly desperate. Opinions?

Having boosted STAB attacks that hit Jirachi neutrally is a good thing, and I don't recall Jirachi being capable of using Dragon-type attacks (Hidden power aside); so I'd say Kingdra can indeed deal with a Jirachi without much trouble
[editline]14th May 2012[/editline]
Wait, some event Jirachi can have Draco Meteor, so watch out if you come across one of them :v:

Also Ferrothorn. Ferrothorn on every Drizzle team forever

With a resistance to Steel and good bulk that's gonna take a long time, specially if Kingdra burns Jirachi with Scald
60% Flinch rate and the 25% paralysis rate, fucking cheese.
60% Flinch rate and the 25% paralysis rate, fucking cheese.
That's the bad thing, half of that long time you won't be able to do anything :v:
You are all forgetting that due to drizzle there is a damned high chance it is raining.
AKA its highly unlikely that kingdra is gonna be outspeeded.
Also for this build I assume its best to lead with politoed and then instantly switch to dragonite am I in the wrong here?

Thunderwave. And good luck trying to OHKO Jirachi.

Fair enough due to this weakness I would be forced to run a DD set on the kingdra.
Woops. Forgot that paralysis reduces speed to 25% of what it used to be making this solution invalid.

Also I just had the silliest idea.
Acid Spray tentacruel.
Acid spray is a 40 bp poison move that has a 100% to lower special defense by two stages.
Wouldn't this allow him to hit enemies pretty hard or atleast scare them off giving you a chance to lay down toxic spikes?
Opinions?

Tentacruel (F) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Acid Spray
- Knock Off
- Surf
- Toxic Spikes
I have a new anti-wall :3

What about Scald instead of Surf to cripple on the physical side too?
Anyway I'm making a drizzle team out of boredom and I'm having some issues picking the last pokemon.
Current team is Politoed/Toxicroak/Tentacruel/Dragonite/Parasect/Kingdra
I've been working on one as well. I'm not usually into competitive. I might just battle some friends with this.
So far I've been thinking Politoed, Volcarona, Ferrothorn, Dragonite, Hitmontop, and I still need a physical sweeper. The only ones I actually have right now are Hitmontop, Volcarona, and Ferrothorn, and Hitmontop isn't EV trained yet.

That kind of conflicts with Toxic Spikes

Volcarona on a Drizzle team?
[editline]14th May 2012[/editline]
I really like Dry Skin Toxicroak on Drizzle teams. He brings in the pain and sustains forever.
Oh crap, I just Noticed, I have 3 physical sweepers in my team
I guess I'll make lucario special instead of physical
[editline]15th May 2012[/editline]
give me moves to use
Nasty Plot, Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse, and Vacuum Wave/Hidden Power Ice/Dragon Pulse.
Works out pretty well in my opinion.

Oh, that's true, I forgot :v: And why Liquid Ooze? Isn't Clear Body more useful?
Also, Volcarona is good on rain because it has Hurricane and can serve as a counter for sun teams that decide to disrupt your rain

Oh, shit. That looks awesome!
Say if one had Life orb and Rain dish and it was raining.
Does the damage get deducted first or do you get healed first?
I think a combination of acid spray and life orb giga drain while also getting healed by rain dish could allow for some powerful healing abilities.
I am quite tempted to make tentacruel an offensive pokemon on my rain team.
Life orb only eats your hp after you attack. Rain dish is after both players move.
So this means that under rain assuming the enemy uses a non attacking move you can attack with no disadvantage.
Very nice.
Also which pokemon battle simulator is hip and happening now a days.

You have to take down a building-sized mecha with a Pokemon pint-sized in comparison?
Somebody's gonna have fun humiliating the shit out of the mecha with a Magikarp.
