I love how some people were raging that B/W wasn't made for the 3DS when it was released, then I see a comment like yours after the success of it.
why would people be mad about that
i dont even understand how a pokemon game would need 3D
[editline]16th May 2012[/editline]
eh i guess it would be kinda cool actually
still completely unnecessary though

This is what I dislike about competitive, you have to train VERY specific kind of Pokemon to at worst counter one single opponent.
Sorry for not being able to help with judgement, though.

Aren't exteriors (And interiors in Gen V) already in 3D since gen IV?
I know what you mean, though, I do prefer sprites over 3D models too, but I wouldn't find surprising if Gen VI games add more 3D stuff

Maybe even *GASP* an ability to walk in more than 4 compass directions? That always kind of bothered me, not enough to matter, but still, I wanted to do circles around my Pokemon, damnit.

It just came to mind and found it kind of funny :v: I'm not going to actually use it because of what you just said, I for one prefer versatility over extreme specialization
Stuff like that is also the reason why I avoid using set-up sweepers as much as possible

Better have a swiss knife instead of a kukri.
Maybe the season will finally end with Ash waking up from his seven year coma, and then the new season will follow this new guy.

I think most people who play super competitively or even casually competitively (if you get what I mean) use something like PO. It just makes it so easy, and takes the stupid randomness out of IVs.
Metronome.
[editline]16th May 2012[/editline]
But I get what you mean.
Nah, trust me. It metronome'd into charm.
Togepi is one charming mother fucker.

Talking about Metronome, I remember my first fight with Whitney in SoulSilver
When her Clefairy used Metronome I though "Let me guess, it's gonna use Explosion, isn't it?"
Guess the resulting move it used :v:

Damn, look at those legs
Hell, Cheren's new design has also very long legs
First weird haircuts now wading bird proportions? :v:
I really hate how in order to play competitively you have to EV train your pokemon. I'm currently trying to figure out how to EV train my Sceptile. Currently at Lv. 89, I want his Sp. Attack to be his highest stat, followed by base HP, as well as good Attack and decent defences.
Thing is, I don't know whether I should use a Macho Brace or the individual power items.

Personally, I would use the individual power items, because that typically works a bit faster than the macho brace.
However, it seems to me that you probably already used your Sceptile quite a lot, possibly even to the point of you already having filled out your EVs, which would set it's stat progression in stone. I would recommend that you breed a new one and go from there.
-fixed my post, incorrectly stated what macho brace did-

Actually, two things. One, you can use a variety of berries to reset the EV's. And two, it used to be that IV's were calculated when Pokemon leveled up. Now they're calculated after each battle, so now it's even possible to EV train a Lv. 100 pokemon.
Just watched that video, and holy shit, that's awesome!
Bunch of new screens on serebii
Am I the only one who doesn't like the "VERSION 2" on the box? It makes it seem like they're saying "This one is better than the previous one!" rather than "This is a sequel!"
the word version goes with the color, not the 2. the word version was already on the box
so think of it as Black Version or White Version rather than Version 2

Just curious is there also team preview on pokemon online?
It's the teambuilder...?
Just curious is there also team preview on pokemon online?
Depends on player preference.
Also nobody expects hidden power fire on a tentacruel that is in a rain dance team haha.
B/W2 animated vid is now on youtube. Full HD

Those berries are a bitch to farm. Unless you somehow already have like 100s of them somehow, it's almost always better to just restart your dudes so that you have a fresh slate. Also I'll just assume that you just got EV and IV mixed up when you mentioned the latter there. It's supposed to be the former.

Dude fuck off that coat was great
Can anyone suggest a great way to train Pokemon in the after game thing rather quickly?
I don't know how, but I just caught a level 70 lugia in 4 turns.
Two attacks
One hyper potion
One heavy ball.
PKMN Heart Gold

E4 grinding is really good in b/w.
cynthia is also good for a nice chunk of xp each day.
There's a guide for ev training somewhere, from memory:
route 1 for attack evs (patrats, lillipups)
route just below moor of icirrus for hp (stunfisks in the water)
frillish give special defense
litwicks/elgyems give special attack
basculin give speed
defense is off roggenrolas and some other things, unlike the other 5 stats there's nowhere to grind it for 100% encounter rate.
