Friend challenged me to a battle. Possibly a triple battle. Suggestions on how to make a good team?
full eevee team is fun [editline]27th May 2012[/editline] but awful
News from serebii
Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 - Pokémon Smash The official site has posted wiith information stating that the episode of Pokémon Smash due to air on June 3rd will feature a feature on the portion of Black 2 & White 2: Pokéwood. It's unknown if it will show anything new, but it will likely show the mechanics of it so we'll report on it as and when it comes. In addition to that, a Soundtrack CD has been announced for release in Japan on July 25th which has 173 tracks on it in a four disc set including unreleased tracks from Black & White, Emerald & Platinum

News from serebii
Watch as the CD set is Japan-exclusive. Even if you can get all the songs online its not the same as having the hard copies.
Well you could always import it.
full eevee team is fun [editline]27th May 2012[/editline] but awful
I have two eevees in my team because of reasons
Bio noted how there were roughly 2 other people that seemed interested in the Pokemon tabletop RPG. Well I just want to note that we're close to beginning this game so if you were on the fence about this now is (close to) the last chance to join in from the very start of the adventure. I really suggest that you guys come play if you're interested.
you nerd
wow stop stalking me holy shit
Friend challenged me to a battle. Possibly a triple battle. Suggestions on how to make a good team?
Well, I had this big, long winded reply to your question, but then Facepunch accidentally my whole post, so here is the short version; When designing your triple battle team, think of what you wish to achieve. Do you wish to have a team of glass cannons, where type coverage is everything? Or do you wish to have a team with an overall strategy behind it, such as your typical weather team or a team of slow sweepers that gets the speed boost it needs by using trick room or some other form form of speed meddling? Really, the only difference between triple battles and your average single battle is that half of your team is exposed at any given point. This means that opponents can pick out and team up on specific pokemon, while letting you do the same. This also makes certain set up moves, like toxic spikes or stealth rocks, to not be as effective as they could be in single battles, while others, like the aforementioned trick room, more viable. Also, in constructing your team specifically to fight your friend, just remember your friend's typical play style. From that, you easily generate a team to counter his.

It just eventually devolves into a huge case of wifom and to the spectators it might as well be two dudes using random moves against each other.
wow stop stalking me holy shit
YOU NERD i bet you play dungeons and dragons

Me and my friend normally counter this by having no fewer than 3 fully trained teams worth of Pokemon at any given point. That way, we both could swap in other pokemon on the fly, keeping each other on our toes. At one point I even did a remake of Red's team in G/S/C, while my friend suddenly took on the role of gym leaders. This led to some hilarious antics outside of playing the game, where my friend would scramble to make the next team, while I sat back and tried to come up with the best possible moveset for each pokemon, while also contemplating why my Pikachu didn't match up in terms of being as awesome as my Charizard.
whoever does the music for the series does a good job
Fans do some crazy remixes, too. I think this is my favorite that this guy has done. [editline]26th May 2012[/editline] Oh wait, how could I forget his remix on Primal Dialga? This is fucking amazing is what this one is.
never played the game but i like the piano parts very nice
Also, speaking of Pokemon music remixes, I find that MiguelVolkov did justice to the Regi-themes. It's probably the only version of the song I actually like, with the version in-game being pretty mediocre in comparison. It just feels a bit more artificial and synthy compared to the one you linked. Now usually that wouldn't serve as an actual argument (what kind of person argues that a song is better for sounding more fake?), but I think it just fits in with the theme of how the Regis are just these golems made out of unliving materials. [editline]26th May 2012[/editline] Though they're both great
http://missingno.ocremix.org/ you're all welcome.
Well now if we are posting musical remakes I might as well post this then And for laughs

Then later I find out it's at least 5 years old :v: [editline]27th May 2012[/editline] Have some old content I made [del]3 years ago[/del] scratch that, four years ago when Crysis was a big deal
Another silly question: When people want to use a Shell Smash + Baton Pass combination, why does everybody always choose Gorebyss over Huntail?
What IVs should I train for a tank Umbreon? Defence and HP?
What IVs should I train for a tank Umbreon? Defence and HP?
I'd go with 252 in HP, then 128 on both defense and special defense (For mixed walling) and an impish nature (To add a bit more of defense and, again, making the set more mixed)
I'd go with 252 in HP, then 128 on both defense and special defense (For mixed walling) and an impish nature (To add a bit more of defense and, again, making the set more mixed)
No don't split it. Go for full Sp.def and use Curse.
Another silly question: When people want to use a Shell Smash + Baton Pass combination, why does everybody always choose Gorebyss over Huntail?
Gorebyss quite simply has more offensive potential. Gorebyss gets the advantage of having more powerful moves compared to Huntail. For example Surf/Hydro pump/Ice beam/HP grass compared to Crunch/Waterfall/Return. This combined with the fact that Gorebyss has 114 sp.atk compared to Huntails 104 attack makes him infinitely superior for anything other then a mixed sweeper.
