Kyogre needs an excuse for not using 2 water attacks in the same moveset. We need better special Rock moves.

Ancient Power, Hail (lol), Rock Slide. It ought to learn more special attacks, nowadays I'm surprised they even got it Electric moves. Give it some Dark or Ghost ones.
And Hidden Power is awesome.

Suddenly I don't have to breed a Scrafty and Golurk now has a viable method of recovery.
I lost both my Diamond AND Pearl before I could beat the E4.

You should get Platinum. It was easily one of my favorite Pokemon games of all time, and not just because the male protagonist had the best fashion sense out of all of them.

Emboar doesn't get Drain Punch through tutor. That's a dealbreaker. Not starting with Tepig once BW2 arrives.
Are they purposely making it so that Emboar is just a Fire Type with a Fighting Type slapped on for no reason? Seriously, all he learns naturally is Arm Thrust. That's embarrassing.

For what ever reason, they seem to think that they need to make the fire starters fighting type anymore
I wish shinies weren't so rare that you can never find them. I feel like it would be better if it was, like, 1/1000, so if you play enough you'll probably find a few. Just something neat you could find every once in a while.
Maybe I feel that way because I'm sick of looking for this Elekid. I swear, its shiny coloring is just slightly lighter, I've skipped so many heartbeats because it'll just look lighter to me for some reason sometimes. Shiny Elekid fucking sucks, but I like shiny Electivire.

You don't wall something with 135 base SpAtk and a move that boosts it with sheer typing. It adds coverage, but weak coverage and of a single type. Plus, it used to be the sole source of proper STAB for MANY Pokemon pre-gen IV. In fact, you should expect on special-based Pokemon with bad movepool a coverage Hidden Power, and Volcarona will run something to stop Rock Pokemon stopping it dead.
Don't worry about it tho, now it gets the new and improved Giga Drain, have fun with that predictability.

See the problem with that logic is it doesn't give hidden power an excuse for being in the game.
They could just have easily have given all the weak coverage pokemon a couple of crappy 70 power coverage moves and called it a fucking day.
