If I'm gonna get a Reuniclus any day soon, I'm gonna name it JoJ.
why
Most people use Reuniclus as a Calm Minder. Never works though, he's so slow that when a counter switches in, he's forced to switch out. I have much more luck with a Trick Room variant, as then you can outspeed your counter on the turn after they switch in, either knocking them out, or supporting the next slow Pokemon you send in with Trick Room.
why
Because it's symmetry reminds me of this video:
Can anyone recommend a good moveset for Shuckle? I like Shuckle.
I just recently EV trained one. It's moveset is currently power swap, toxic, rock slide, and rest.
Can anyone recommend a good moveset for Shuckle? I like Shuckle.
Shuckle is an amazing pokemon, and has the highest damage potential of any pokemon I'm aware of. You want to build it around the move Power Trick. Earthquake is always a good choice, and it covers the rock/steel weaknesses quite nicely. Other than that it's up to you, try to cover the water weakness if possible. You'll have to EV train it for health or it'll be pretty weak though.
It's sad how insanely much any tactics with Shuckle rely on trainer being quick on the draw.
Yeah, he's too damn slow to be viable in most cases. He's really easy to counter with any other reasonably paced pokemon with a STAB. I can't say I'd advise anyone to use him ever. [editline]16th July 2012[/editline] I've been thinking of making a few themed teams and seeing if I can find one which will work. Throwing together a "pig-based" team. Slaking and walrein are questionably pig-like, but their noses look close enough for me. Do what I did when I used a Shuckle. Use a Drifblim to baton pass 3 Stockpiles to it. hee hee hoo hoo
*vidya* check out this piece of art i churned out 5 years ago.
I don't care what ya'll say, I think Gen IV had the best music.
I just read this on Facebook
A select number of top players and their Pokémon teams participating at the 2012 Pokémon Video Game World Championships will be distributed for battle in the Pokémon World Tournament in Pokémon Black Version 2 & Pokémon White Version 2.
That way while I get a boost (and keep my defense) from the poor opponent's attack trained Rampardos. Then I rest and revive myself when my health gets too low. It works pretty well.
Alright, while Jechtman should do this, he's sleeping, so I'll advertise for him. He is starting a Pokémon Tabletop Adventures game on Skype, with Earth as the actual Pokémon world. If you'd be interested, you just need to tell me so, and I'll add you to the group chat.
Damn it man I thought you knew it was only going to be a Pokéversion of New Zealand (remember that map I made?). I suppose I should elaborate then. Almost everything is original including recurring NPCs, Gyms and Leaders, Teams and their motives, locals and semi-original sub-plots plus more. I'm looking to host sessions of 3-6 hours long from 4am GMT+12 on Sunday mornings (or Saturday nights for most), with chances for random times during the week when it's convienient for people in secluded parties. I'm still brainstorming ideas and I'm looking to start this within a couple of weeks, just hoped you wouldn't rush this Maximo :v:

I also never said it was going to be worldwide too, I guess there must've been some misunderstanding when I brought up the IAPL thing. And yes, expect a few dozen Mareep in the travels ahead.
Packing a nidoking then.
Whenever I look at my Bisharp, I go "Holy shit that is huge Attack number". I rolled lucky with stats.
Preordered Pokemon Black at Gamestop. I can't wait. Then the dude behind the counter was totally rad and we chatted about games for 20 minutes, and he gave me a free Bonus card that you normally have to dish out 15 bucks for, and offered me a job once they hire in September. Fucking Gamestop.
This site is a goldmine: http://pokemonsymphony.com/music/
I've been following this guy for months, great stuff.
In Gen III, my favorite HM slave is Azumarill. I give him Rollout, Surf, Dive, and Strength. It just seems like he can handle being an HM slave AND a fighter.
I still don't get how in gen II they made Marill and Azumarill have 20/50 respective attacking stats, and just felt fine about it. Then Huge Power came along, and became the only ability worth having for that line. And good move having Azumarill have it as well. So, when do we get Light Ball compatible Raichu? With Surf, if you please.
[t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/31693224/Pokemans/Promo01.png[/t] Okay, so since I'm currently enjoying playing in the Tabletop game that Maximo13, Antary, Mad and I are playing I thought I'd try my hand at GM'ing one myself, and what better than to use all the resources I previously made for the now-defunct IAPL for an original campaign! So what's to be expected? You'll be exploring a Pokérized version of New Zealand, home to the LotR films and Flight of the Conchords and sheep, lots and lots of sheep... with fleshed out locations, Gym leaders, Team <objective or idea in one word here>, recurring NPCs that might help or hurt your progress, random events (like literally random, I'll pick two random words in the dictionary if I have to) and many more! I'll also take player suggestions, for example if you want to use a homebrew mechanic or homebrew class (perhaps the inclusion of a Fakémon?) I will def. consider it, we've already added the Glitch Trainer class and it's advanced classes which we feel will give some insane moments. I'm getting at least five sessions worth of content worked out before we start and I'm predicting we will start within a couple of weeks, but before that we'll be getting players to chargen and work out if people want to start out with a handicap or not (protip: better luck comes to those that start weak AND do well) as well as fill everyone in with what will happen in the first session. As I mentioned before, I'm looking to host sessions of 3-6 hours long from 4am GMT+12 on Sunday mornings (or Saturday nights for most), with chances for random times during the week when it's convienient for people in secluded parties. So far we have Maximo13, KStyleAzure and possibly the GM from our current game as players, so if any of you want to join in just PM me or add me on Skype, my Skype name is jechtman01. Training will be provided and we can have a mock battle before we start to get you used to the battle system if you want.

Skype for gameplay, having a general chat room and a gameplay room so we can keep in-character in the later while having normal discussion in the former. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks the team behind Skype will have sorted out the messaging problems so we won't have phantom comments being invisible until you comment in the chat group to force them. We will be sharing a dropbox folder with everything everyone will need in it, players will have access to their folders and the Players Handbook plus more: [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/31693224/Pokemans/drop.PNG[/t] Skype will hold the chat logs for us so backtracking over previous decisions is easy to do but I'll be making summary logs every 1-3 sessions, depending on how much progress has been done.
