What if I told you they added huge power so you can role play it onto a shuckle that has 3 swords dances, power trick and is on his 5th turn of rollout.

Okay hello keyboard.
So yeah, for an example if there's a huge thunderstorm and an Eevee gets struck by a lightning bolt that would kill it, it could evolve into a Jolteon to save itself. Likewise, if your PC gets knocked out and your Pokémon is left to fight alone it could use a powerful move it would usually learn later as if it's instinct.
Liberities can be made to various things so it's not constrained by game-logic and more open to theories that make sense like the above. There was that episode of the anime where Ash and someone else trained Pikachu to use Iron Tail so those kinds of things are a very real possibility.
can pokemon only learn four moves.
They are much smarter in tabletop, they can hold a mixture of seven level-up and egg moves and a mixture of seven TM, HM and Tutor moves.
All together they can retain 14 moves.
Madness. MADNESS I TELL YOU.
Also TMs and HMs are syringes in tabletop, not discs or vinyls or whatever they appear to be.
Plus death and gore galore if you put your mind to it, did that Rattata survive a Take Down and a death savings roll afterwards? If so it's skull is crushed and it's barely breathing with a low chance of survival if left alone.
Brutally good fun.

Do rare candies and ev raising items exist in your RP? It'd be neat if they were some kind of shady substance. Keeping an eye on this RP thing seems interesting.
They do, [url=http://pokemontabletop.wikidot.com/vitamins]you can only use five on one Pokémon max[/url] and Rare Candies exist, although I'm getting different descriptions from the handbook and the wiki site (one awards a level and it's cheaper while the other awards 15,000 EXP and is worth MUCH more), I'll have to decide which to use when the time comes I guess.
And cool as, I'm looking to get a simple chargen session going this weekend to get some players characters sorted, so even if you're just curious add me on Steam or Skype (jechtman01) and I'll show you around.
Still looking to start this in a couple of weeks so no rush.
It almost sounds like the Anime only they can die. Like in the Anime Pokemon have used moves before they can, or evolved in 'dire' circumstances.
Maybe its closer to the Adventures Manga where Pokemon have died.
Either way it sounds cool.
It's not your standard video game experience, I can assure you that.

Oh almost forgot, we will be using [url=http://rolz.org/]Rolz[/url] for our die rolls, we just enter a designated Dice Room and we can see each other's rolls so it's very transparent and we can make sure everything is fair on that front.
Well, the RP system IS based on Adventures. Everything is much harder.
if you guys struggle for numbers I might play but I dunno I might be busy, we'll see.
Once I see the premise from somewhere, I'll think about it.
I'll def. keep that in mind Shadow, right now I reckon we are at the minimum amount of players for a good PTA group but I'll keep things updated on here on how we're getting on.
Already getting cool move mechanics from Nitro, that's exactly the kind of innovative gameplay mechanics I'm looking for.

But mine are in the default form because GHOST ELECTRIC IS AN AWESOME TYPE COMBINATION.
