You cant evolve Pikachu in yellow
Unless you catch another Pikachu and ditch your starter one. But who would be so cruel as to do that?
In Sapphire I threw a masterball at Chinchou at the part before entering Kyorgre's cave because it was the only pokeball I had left and Chinchou looked so chill
Years ago, in, I think, 2nd grade, I was playing Pokemon Crystal. I was trying to catch a Lanturn, but running out of Pokeballs. Kid next to me said "Use the Master Balls!" I (albeit loudly :v:) said to him "What are you, crazy?!" That successfully banned Game Boys from that grade. [sp]lol btw it was Catholic school[/sp]
God, I just looked how how to IV breed. Shit looks terribly boring and painstaking. Pbbbth. To be honest, I hate IVs. Natures and EVs are fine, as they allow for customization. But IVs are purely luck based and could make your Pokemon absolute garbage compared to another one of the same breed, nature, and effort value spread. Doesn't exactly seem fair.
Takes me about 4 hours of breeding to get a pokemon with max speed and one max IV with right nature/ability. Seems like a long time but then I spend 2 hours on a train EVERY DAY. so I get about 3 pokemon bred per week (although it took me 2 weeks to get a male technician scizor with max Atk Def and HP.) And as said before, speed is your main priority and once you get one ditto with max speed you can guarantee max speed on EVERY POKEMON YOU BREED EVARRRR
You cant evolve Pikachu in yellow
Yes you can. It stops following you.
I remember trading my yellow pikachu over to another game and evolving then trading it back. It didn't follow me anymore. :v:
Yes you can. It stops following you.
You can't evolve YOUR pikachu. You can't catch one either. You can trade for one and evolve it though.
You cant evolve Pikachu in yellow
Trade it to a Red/Blue game, evolve it and trade it back. It's not really that complicated
You can't evolve YOUR pikachu. You can't catch one either. You can trade for one and evolve it though.
Thunderstone. It doesn't evolve from leveling. Seriously. I remember doing with when I was young.
In yellow the Pikachu you receive refuses to evolve.
I remember when I was a kid playing FireRed, my second Pokemon game. I needed my friend's help getting through the Seafoam caves and didn't really bring enough Pokeballs. I ended up wasting them on the various wild Pokemon in the cave and I remember using like 10 ultraballs trying to catch a Golbat. When I got to Articuno, I had to soft reset to try and catch it with my last Great Ball. I don't think I had an escape rope, and if I did it wouldn't matter since there'd have been no hope for me to get through the cave again. I ended up giving the game to my brother and getting Leafgreen. If there's one thing that situation taught me, it's to always carry an escape rope and also like a million Pokeballs.
Thunderstone. It doesn't evolve from leveling. Seriously.
You can't catch one either.
Oh, you can catch another Pikachu in Yellow. If you do, your Pikachu gets jealous and when you talk to him, he gets all pissy.
No you can't. And if you use cheat codes to catch other Pikachu, it still behaves like the starter one and cannot be evolved. You need to trade it to another game; in Yellow your own Pikachu cannot be evolved.
You know, if you can't evolve a pikachu in yellow, why is there a raichu sprite?
You know, if you can't evolve a pikachu in yellow, why is there a raichu sprite?
are you serious
You know, if you can't evolve a pikachu in yellow, why is there a raichu sprite?
Link battles and trading.

Lt Surge looks like Duke Nukem
trading.
I think I made my point, you can trade a raichu into yellow as I did.
Or you can trade your Pikachu away, evolve it, then trade it back. Thunderbolt/Surf/Hyper Beam/Thunder Wave Raichu master race!
You must trade for another Pikachu in Yellow. That is all.
If you can't catch like 184 Kanto and Johto Pokemon in Ruby and Sapphire, why do they have sprites? For that matter, if you can't catch the Kanto starters and legendaries in Gen II, why do they have sprites? Fuck the whole "trading for pokemon to catch 'em all" plan, they should cut the sprites of Pokemon people won't see during gameplay.
Actually, in Gen II, there were quite some trainers using the Kanto starters, they were just unobtainable for the player without trading with Gen I.
Just like Lt. Surge using a Raichu.
So I was talking to a friend of mine
Matt says: Something I need to do in Pokemon now: name a character "Fuck, I" Cait says: what Matt says: So it would say stuff like "Fuck, I caught a squirtle" or "Fuck, I got a badge"
Would that actually work? :v:

(just restarted my fire red save renaming my character as fuck I)
I did some crunching, and I came up a list of types where you can exploit each type's weakness at least twice with STAB, bar normal and electric, which only bear 1 weakness each. Although within these typings, you also bear their defensive counters, ghost and ground, so I suppose that makes up for it. Electric Grass Ice Fighting Ground Flying Psychic Bug Rock Ghost Dragon Dark Whether or not this is handy is up to you, seeing as though your choices are fairly limited as each of your Pokemon would have to be a dual type. This is more for fun than competitive play obviously, as my choices of Jumpluff, Latios, Frost Rotom, Crustle, Scrafty, and Golurk doesn't obviously make for any sort of synergetic team. It's just a fun little thing I shat out.
