I was so confused when I watched that episode on the VHS we used to own.
Fucking best moment happened to me in Pokémon recently.
I [I]really[/I] wanted a shiny Gigalith, because they look fucking[I]awesome.[/I] So naturally I check the GTS for shiny Roggenrolas, Boldores, and Gigaliths. I even go so far as to search by country and gender and level to see as many trades as possible. And, of course, any shiny was up on the GTS for a Lv. 9 Zekrom or some shit like that (which sickens me).
So I decided to try this "Masuda Method" thing that I had just discovered recently, and bred an English Gigalith with a Japanese Gigalith. Now, mind you, it didn't really dawn on me just [I]how[/I] many eggs you have to go through for a shiny. 20-25 eggs later all I have is a fuckload of regular Roggenrolas. I give up and, basically, end up not playing the game for like a month or two.
Earlier this week my sister's best friend visits and tells me that she's purchased a used copy of White off Amazon and it has a bunch of Pokémon on it. As someone who doesn't play Pokémon often, she wanted to start a new game, but didn't want to lose all the Pokémon already on the file. So she lets be borrow the game to trade the good Pokémon to my copy of White, saying I can basically keep any one I wanted as long as she got to take the ones she wanted back later. I asked if there were shiny Pokémon, forgetting entirely about my quest for a shiny Gigalith, and she said "I don't think so."
I check the PC boxes anyways, and

Sitting right there, and all those memories of looking for a Shiny Gigalith flow back to me. I'll admit, this guy obviously hacked some Pokémon when he owned the game, looking at how many Pokémon were caught with Master Balls/Cherish Balls, but this was the real deal. Legit level, ball, and everything. And she let me keep it of course, so I traded it to my copy of White.

Oh goodness, I'm talking to someone and they are trying to say the gen 1 originals are better than the remakes.
Don't get me wrong, some people obviously prefer the originals over the remakes, and I respect that. But they fixed so much since then. She's trying to argue that psychic types were not overpowered then. I mean, c'mon!
Also, not sure if I want to get the Black and White sequels... Might not have the money, plus I've kinda lost interest of Pokemon as of late.
I don't honestly like shinys. They make the Pokemon look off, as opposed to their natural colors. Which is the whole point I guess, but you grow used to their natural look and sort of shut out anything that looks otherwise.
Some are alright. A select few.
Also who else here is dissapointed that Vanilluxe's shiny isn't a brown or pinkish white?
