http://www.serebii.net/index2.shtml

For you American players, the retailer store Gamestop is to offer a download of the Pokémon Keldeo from August 27th to October 6th. This offers Keldeo in its Ordinary Form and can be changed to Resolute Form when traded to Pokémon Black 2 & White 2. It can also learn Secret Sword in Black & White when taken to the Moor of Icirrus. Presumably it will be identical to the Japanese event currently running. International dates and details are not known.
I see nothing about pre-order
If I wanted a Water/Fighting type, I'd use Poliwrath. Laaaaaaaaaame.
Keldeo looks silly but that thing is going to destroy when it's unleashed.
-SNIP-
So then how did I pre order the game for 3DS in early July?
10/10 for missing the point
*rereads* Oh shit sorry, let me snip that.
I upset this kid I know that plays competitive pokemon by beating him with a Shuckle. Shuckle is the best.

These stats taking out a big, tough, OU Pokemon can only cause sheer giddiness.

Hm.
Poliwrath has no stat over 100. The thing is bulky, quite strong, and prime candidate for subpunching. A shame nowadays Lametoed overshadows it due to making it rain, and that you cannot use both on a team; SSwrath is awesome. And, for extra fun, remember: Poliwhirl and Poliwrath have mouths, just like regular frogs, in the limit between the black and white coloring. You now cannot unsee it.

[editline]5th August 2012[/editline] Heh. [editline]5th August 2012[/editline] Oh God.
Angry bullfrog ready to punch the shit out of you, then eat the battered remains.
I love these. Home of that Golbat.

Not savvy in double battles, to be honest. Blame Collosseum (still, that Raikou-Suicune combo was VERY helpful). Anyway, the Red/Green sprites give some sense to the gen I backsprites. Still, those backsprites need to be seen at lower resolutions to be understood.

It always puzzled me how goofy, bizarre or beta-ish most of these looked, but then you look at Gyarados' sprite and it looks incredible. Holy shit, it's almost as if it was taken directly from the GSC era
Lapras looks pretty good too.
I just noticed Blue's Exeggcute. The fuck?
I just noticed Blue's Exeggcute. The fuck?
Yeah, like half of them look little to NOTHING like the official art... V:v:V [sp]See "I'm an angry crab" Hitmonchan.[/sp]
It has been irking me since 1999 or so. Anyway, http://veekun.com/dex/gadgets/compare_pokemon?pokemon=Poliwrath&pokemon=Keldeo A bit sad, to be honest. Still, event pony versus frogpole going to punch the fuck out of you?
http://lparchive.org/Pokemon-Blue/Update%2001/ is a good read
Wow, Blastoise really gained weight from Green to R/B.
Man I've always thought Golbat looked like a crackhead in RBY, I wonder what would've happened if they kept that style up to GenV
Decided to make a fun little doubles team for battle tower to get back into the Pokemon mood for B/W2. Had a Japanese Ditto with the nature I wanted for my Vaporeon so I figured I might as well do the Masuda method. 20 hatched Eevees later I'm wondering why the fuck I don't have a Bold Eevee yet, so I look up breeding to make sure I'm not remembering incorrectly about nature passing with everstone.
Another minor change that is present in all Generation IV games, is that the passing on of natures via an Everstone will not work if the Pokémon are from different real-world countries
Almost put my DS through my wall.
Why did they even do that? D: ...And why did I just hear about this
Just hear about nature passing, the stupid limit on nature passing, or the Masuda method?
will i be missing anything if i go skip black and go straight to black 2 from pearl i don't have enough money to buy both, and supposedly black 2 is much better
I'm doing the same, don't worry. Black 2 is a different game with the same pokemons so if you're only interested in collecting all the pokemons then you're missing nothing.
um no you're missing an entirely different story if you skip Black they aren't just remakes they're sequels
Just read a wiki article on the first game's story. It's not exactly an award winning Pulitzer in terms of literary prowess.
Just read a wiki article on the first game's story. It's not exactly an award winning Pulitzer in terms of literary prowess.
I didn't even know people played Pokemon for the story. I mean the stories have been getting better over the years, but still.
