Its heresy.
Why is the Nintendo DS still so expensive? I was going to order one but they are still over $100. I checked Craigslist but honestly I cannot get myself to trust anyone on that site.
Well it is a cow pokemon.
Maybe some of them breastfeed then iuno.
Hi, I decided to randomly enter and post something!
Is it me, or is Volcarona's Special Attack stat naturally OP?
When it evolved, it was at 207. I don't even do the whole IV/EV thing (Can't get a handle on it) and that seems pretty high.
Though I looked it up and saw that since it has a Mild nature that might've had a huge impact. Lucky me I guess! ... Till I get hit with a physical attack.

Volcarona's beastly attack is offset by its pretty damn awful defense typing. Taking stealth rocks into account, especially so. A single Aqua Jet from anything will fuck its shit up hard.
Provided you take a rapid spinner and check its counters, good pokemon, though.
That second line of text just went right over my head... :v: Rapid spinner? Does this have something to do with the move of a similar name? Check its counters??? wat
I must be the only one left in the world who plays the games just to play them. Sure having strong Pokemon is nice but... Jeez, I can't imagine doing all this advanced stuff.
Rapid Spin is a move that clears entry hazards, such as Stealth Rock (that brings Volcy down to 50% HP when it enters the field for the first time). If Rocks are on the field you can't bring it in more than once, unless leftovers or something.
To "Check" a "Counter" is to knock out or otherwise dispatch a major threat to whatever Pokémon you're planning on using to revenge/sweep.
[editline]4th January 2012[/editline]
Ok, say for example, you're planning on using... Suicune, a standard Calm Mind Resttalker. You only have one offensive move in this set (sounds odd, I know), which is, usually, Scald, or Surf. If your opponent has a Pokémon with Water Absorb, such as Gastrodon, you'll want to get rid of that thing before you bring in your Suicune.
[editline]4th January 2012[/editline]
...Or you could bring the Suicune in specifically to bait out Gastro, and hit it with something like HP grass. Hmm.

That's mostly to make breeding starters tricky.

There are a couple in the chasm where you get Kyurem.

because people still buy them like hotcakes at the current price, so why reduce it?

Oh, okay, I understand that now. I knew what Rapid Spin did, just didn't know what implication you meant it as...
And yeah about the counter thing, sounds like something I do often.
I send out a fire type
Trainer sends out water type
Say "oh shit" and switch to an electric type quickly to take it out
Basically what you're saying, right?

No not at all. Switching Pokemon like that give the opponent a free move. He could have predicted your switch and used a move to damage one new Pokemon or something along the lines of dragon dance.
Lets say you have a Gyarados out. Its x4 weak to electricity. Your opponent sends out a Pokemon that is know to use a electric attack often, STAB bonus or not, if it hit your Gyarados, its gone. You know this Pokemon has a higher speed stat, so ohko'ing it before it attack is not an option. What can you do? Switch out to a Pokemon that takes no damage to electric move or absorbs it. You decide to switch to Electivire. It has an ability that when it gets hit by an electric attack, it gain one speed boost, giving it the ability to sweep the enemy team. Two things can happen when you switch, the opponent used the electric attack and you outsmarted him, or he used something along the lines of earthquake and outsmarted you.
Before switching you have to take in account if it is faster than you, because that fire type could easily destroy the water type with the right moves. What move it may have, because it may predict your switch and use the right move, or the wrong one. Or you could bluff the opponent, you dont switch but he thought you would, thus he used the wrong move.
Has anyone tried the 3ds rumble game? Thinking of picking it up.

I don't fight against actual people so I'm never in that situation where someone can predict my switch. If the AI could do that I'd be fucking scared that it could read my mind.
Also too bad nothing you said would be any of my scenarios whatsoever. :v:.......
Battle Tower always kinda did that.
PG v10, predicting predictions.
To be fair battle tower didn't so much predict your behaviour as make it's choice after you told it what you were doing.
I wish more had been done with the design of Durant. It just looks too much like a regular old ant, just much larger and quite metallic. Also, it reminds me of Titanic Ant.
