i can honestly see hugh giving green/gary/blue actual competition for best pokemon rival on account of how batshit crazy he is compared to everyone else
WHERE IS PURRLOIN
I NEED PURRLOIN
PLASMA WHERE THE FUCK IS PURRLOIN???? YOU STOLE PURRLOIN 5 YEARS AGO
PURRLOOOOIN
-there's like 2000 outside of the starting town-
honestly, that whole story about why he's so vengeful felt incredibly weak
dude do you know how many fucking Purrloins I've KO'd since I got here, I really really don't give a shit about your journey to find a missing fucking Purrloin
no you dont understand it was a really special purrloin
it was the only purrloin in unova that didnt fucking suck at everything
Well it's more of a sentimental thing. so his anger is pretty just. Although it's a bit cheesy that he spits out words like he's a 10 year old kid trying to be cool after being picked on by a couple of playground bullies.
there was no buildup to his revealing of it
he kind of just
does it
Got the Pokemon TCG Dragon Vault today, pulled 3 Dragonites, a Latias, 3 Druddigons, and some Axews, Fraxures, and Dratinis and Super Rods.
Traded Latias, Dragonite, and Druddigon to my Bro who pulled a fuckin' Rayquaza from Call of Legends;

You mean he's not? And Team Plasma isn't?

He explains it was a birthday present for his sister 5 years ago. She never saw it or played with it as she never got it. Instead of going and just grabbing her another one or doing something sane though the dudes been locked in his moms basement cursing the name plasma and dreaming of revenge. He's nuts.

The best part is, it plays that really sad song from the first game, when Bianca and her dad are having a emotional fight. The two events side by side are just silly.
Yeah, the story isn't as great in this game. It is much more fun so far, though, in my opinion.
Only thing I hate is how fast some things get. I'll grind my team up to level 40, beat a gym then it feels like the very next town everything is 50 and I have to start the audino hunt all over again.
I had the same problem with the post game of B/W1 and why I didn't do much with it, the sudden level gap was just really really drastic and kind of wish they would of toned it down a bit.

A lot of Pokemon games are guilty of that. In 4th gen, you have a single route, Victory Road, and the Elite Four to level up all of your Pokemon by about 15 levels if you wanted to be on par with Cynthia's Pokemon's levels. And if you have 6 Pokemon at that point, which you should, you'll only be getting about 5 levels for each of them, give or take.
In 2nd gen, the jump from Kanto to Johto left your Pokemon under-leveled against many of the Gym Leaders.
Probably some other prime examples, but I don't want to make a list here.
The jump from the 6th gym to Opelucid, which is the 40 to 50 jump you're talking about, isn't that bad. Fighting all the trainers that open up along the way with the Lucky Egg equipped got me a full team of 6 to base line 50.

nintendo is running out of excuses to block pathways it seems
and yes they all say exactly the same thing
Named my Eevee "Darwin" :D
Is there any longterm advantage to preventing evolution?
I love my Dewott so much I don't want him to evolve.
Eviolite's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.
You gain moves faster.
Some Pokémon only learn certain moves after leveling up, though.
[editline]12th October 2012[/editline]
err, evolving
Sometimes. A lot of pokes don't gain moves faster if unevolved and some actually gain them later.
I always evolve ASAP, the stat boosts are worth any delay in move gain 90% of the time.
You know what'd be nice in a Pokémon game? More/advanced options. A lot of times I play Pokémon while listening to my own music. Why can't I turn music off, but leave other sounds like battle noises and item finding jingles? Or vice-versa.

How'd you get him? I know you can get the dream world ability one after you complete the main story and I know you can get one in the park of Castelia but I can't work out how to get there from the sewers is it just following through the relic area?

In the sewers, go to where you defeated the Plasma Grunts in a double battle with Hugh and go down. You will see stairs leading up. Go up them, and there will be a tree with grass around it. There will be a 5% chance you will find Eevee.
What the fuck guys, my pokemon heartgold keeps freezing, and yes it's a real DS cart I pre-ordered it and it came with the pokewalker and everything, but it keeps freezing when I walk around and play
this is supposed to happen on an R4 card or something but not on the real cart, I'm really pissed off because I leveled up all my pokemon and it just froze

I'm in Chargestone cave right now, I'm planing on adding a mienfoo.
any suggestions? I know I shouldn't have 2 poison types, but Crobat is also my flying and Scolipede is a baller. also, I think I should get rid of Growlithe
Evolve Growlithe. Arcanine is a beast.
I'm wondering if I should keep a Magneton from evolving, so he can utilize Eviolite. Apart from being bulkier with it, Magneton has a much-needed 10 extra base speed over Magnezone, although he has 10 less Special Attack.
I'm thinking I'll need that extra 10 base speed to use Magnet Rise before an opponent uses a ground-type attack.
What do.
Magnet Rise is not really worth it; slap an Air Balloon, throw out a sub, and start to wreck steels with 130 base SpAtk.

magneton is one of those pokes where keeping him unevolved is a totally viable option
if anything eviolite magneton is probably better than magnezone in terms of battle stats (speed/defense)
I traded in SoulSilver to get Black 2.
Did I do bad?
