^ Amen to that. Run, stop, say yes, run, stop, say yes... until you run out xD
Anyway, I picked Black 2 yesterday.
Oh my god.
Patience has never been so rewarding.
EVER.
I waited two years for a superior version :D
But dayum, Elesa's sexy but that Zebstrika...

if I'm not mistaken, you have access to Chargestone cave when you can fight her, and there are drillburs and excadrills in chargestone cave, iirc.

I don't think you can reach that cave until you defeat her, so no Drilbur, but there's something much better:
There're Trapinch on Desert Resort if you look hard enough, and they can learn Rock Slide, which is hella useful to take down Elesa's Emolga
that's how I beat her
To be frank, I haven't actually caught any Pokemon except for a Mincinno that Bianca found in a hidden grotto...
Otherwise, right now I only use Reptilicus (my Servine) and Genesect.
I want Pidove and Venipede/Whirlpede, preferably the latter.
I'm trying to get back into all this pokémon stuff and I was wondering if I should play B/W before B/W 2
yes
why yes? I know it's a sequel and all but most everything you need to know from B/W is given to you in the story for B2/W2. Everything else is just minor references. At least, that's what I've seen so far....
You can also unlock a lot of cool stuff in BW2 if you memory link them.

if you captured Kyurem in White 1 does it fuck up the story line if you memory link?
ugh, electabuzz's evolution is so ugly
I said some, not all.
Yanmega, Magnezone, Dusknoir, and Porygon-Z are all pretty cool.
I've kind of been hoping for this lately. Am I the only one who would like another Pokémon Box for the 3DS on the eShop?
if you captured Kyurem in White 1 does it fuck up the story line if you memory link?
No, usually a legendary being captured is considered noncanon
Except for Reshiram/Zekrom, since it's part of the story that you capture them and battle N with them.
Cheren is worse than fucking Dawn in 4th Gen.
4th Gen:
Hiiiiiiiiiii dawn...
Okay Dawn...
byyyyyyyye Dawn...
5th Gen:
Gym completed! you got [BADGE]
Cheren jumps your shit as soon as you step outside
LET'S FUCKING BATTLE AGAIN BITCH. SINCE YOU GOT A BADGE.

Any foreign pokemon works as far as I'm concerned
Should I buy black/white? I've been putting it of since it came out, I was never a massive fan of gen4, it was about halfway into platinum before I actually started to really enjoy the game, instead of just playing it because I felt I should. I don't want to ruin pokemon for myself, from what I've seen of black/white it looks really bad. So, PG, what do you think?
I understand the kinda-hate for Gen IV's initial games, since I didn't really get into it until about the 5-6 gym [sp]and even then it wasn't enough for me to haul me through the Victory Road Island Thing[/sp], but I found that Black and White were much more enjoyable. It's like the Gen IV games, but with an actual story, the introduction of new battle modes (triple and rotation), and [sp]semi[/sp]better Pokemon.
It's probably the first Pokemon game that's made me interested in the story itself, and not just completing it so that I could do meta-game stuff.
[editline]25th October 2012[/editline]
Oh yeah, I decided that I like both my Magnamite and Flaffy, so I'm probably going to use them both until one of them evolves.

Gen IV were some of the best games mechanic-wise in my opinion. Of course the Physical/Special split, which made everything make alot more sense, and the poke'tch was really great with all the different things you could do once you got the apps (allthough obviously there were a few useless apps). Then there's the battle frontier and the tutors which not only improved the number of moves for most pokemon, it allowed for some really interesting movesets as well.
But then alot of those things got removed or changed, like replacing the poke'tch with the C-Gear which you probably never use except when playing with a friend, (although the X-transiever was made better in B & W 2.) and the battle trains which only have normal battles, and don't even allow for the two new battle types (triple and rotation) to be played! On the other hand though, making TM's permanent instead of one time use is amazing, and alot less annoying when trying to teach moves to pokemon, and I agree that alot of the Gen V pokemon are really cool, especially the pokemon with new unique typings.

It's pretty good, actually. Some of the new Pokemon are a little strange, but B/W 2 is littered with old and new alike, so go with that if you're looking to return for nostalgia.

after playing a bit of Black2, I sold Skyrim (extra trade-in credit) and bought black. I'm having more fun on Black 1 than on Black 2.
Anyone else having trouble catching that bitch Cobalion?
I mean, holy damn, I somehow managed to get him down to 1hp, get my Cincinno to sing him to sleep and even with ultraballs, it's a flawless escape. Sometimes I get so close.
[sp]And no I'm not using the master ball that Juniper gives you[/sp]
I got him on my last viable Pokéball that wasn't a Master Ball.
[editline]26th October 2012[/editline]
Yeah just a normal Pokéball.

I've decided this is terrible as nobody can tank a hit, I'm ditching Zoroark and Crobat, can you guys suggest any beefier pokemon? I'll probably go Altaria instead of Crobat.
So I just started HeartGold today. Is anyone else incapable of putting it into sleep mode? If I ever close my 3DS the game exits automatically. I don't have that problem with Pearl, I don't get it.

Well it all depends.
Altaria is great with Cotton Guard, so that'll work wonders. As for your last Pokemon, there are plenty of choices for defensive Pokemon, but to retain having a Dark type, Umbreon sticks out the most to me.
Although I'm not saying it's just Umbreon. Lickilicky can take hits from either spectrum very well without setup, and a Muk bred with Curse works wonders too. But that's only a few out of a handful.

it's not bad
it's great
you have a terrible sense of what is a good or bad game
