In related news, I finally beat Clair by teaching my Scizor Bullet Punch and Metal Claw (the amount of RS grinding was horrendous) and giving Jolteon Charge Beam.

Have you guys seen VoltWhite, a White 2 romhack? It adds challenge and easy mode before you ever get your first pokémon and makes all generation pokémons apparently obtainable. If it makes things more difficult in singleplayer (still boils down to just grindin', grindin') could be worth a shot eh?

I raged at Cheren because I didn't know exactly what Challenge mode did and I ended up fighting level 14 Munchlax with a team of levels between 5 and 12. After I pounded Lillipup, Minccino and Munchlax to oblivion I was chanting in joy only to get trolled by Teddiursa and that one more Pokémon I can't remember.
Then there's Roxanne and her fucking Trollpass spamming Rock Tomb and Ice Punch at my mono flying team. Don't even mention that invincible fucking Anorith or whatever her third Pokémon will be because I've never gotten that far.
This is fucking frustrating, I'm raging at this shit and I am loving every second of it, reminds me so much of FR/LG days where I would be having trouble ever getting near good levels of defeating the Elite Four on the second try.

Yeah looking at the documentation is pretty much paramount. Always count on them being well higher than the Trainers and wild Pokémon in the area. Especially the Leaders. Challenge Mode also means every Leader has a full roster of 6.

I could never really get into playing the card games, even as a kid I used to collect them but never play it (mainly because no-one else I knew did and I probably wouldn't have been very good anyway) yet I still used to buy them and still do now mainly because I like the art work on them and collecting them, is anyone else the same. In the same way I follow the video game's metagame for competitive play and watch people playing yet I haven't got much interest in actually playing the pokemon games past catching & completing the single player.

Uh, if you clear every area of Black Tower, including defeating Benga, he will give you a Shiny Gible if you talk to him in Floccessy Town.
In White 2, he gives you a Shiny Dratini. White 2 has the White Treehollow, though, but they can be changed through the key system.

The main reason I got into it was for the art, and because I love to collect shit. Lately, though, I've kind of been getting into the actual gameplay, and I've been trying to build some decks.
