Sleep is on a predetermined countdown, I think it's 1-5 turns, decided when you go to sleep.
Paralysis is annoying but you can still do stuff.
Burn hurts physical and nobody else cares.
Poison sucks unless it's toxic.

Paralysis and Burn are REALLY useful ailments, what are you talking about?
And why?
Paralysis halves Speed when inflicted and Burn halves Attack.
Unless it's Guts you're facing which is when Burn is the last thing you want to give it.
Compared to freeze which prevents them from doing anything and gives you free set up time.
I'm not an idiot, I know the value of all the status conditions (hell I'm running a toxic spikes stall team atm), but if I could choose one for my enemy to have at any given moment, freeze is at the top of my list.

yes, one of the lead devs even posted inhere a few times. It's cool that the Pokemon League and the Islands 91-3) are implemented now. Still waiting for the Ice Beam TM though.
