Fuck I hate competitive because I lose so much. I'd lose to most of you too with my team I imagine...
Competitive is easy to pick up depending on which tiers you want to play. I enjoy UU and RU the most. I usually get 3 Offensive guys, 1 Defensive one, a Lead to set-up hazards and scout, and then the last guy is a check to either phaze or take-out threats.
Decided to look this up since I kind of wtf'd at it. They banned Blaziken entirely because it's Dream World Ability + Moveset (Baton Pass) made it crazy OP? Why not just ban Dream World Blaziken and let it continue in its tier? Or just ban the move from Blaziken? Why ban an entire Pokémon because he was pushed from "strong" to "OP", when you can (in my eyes) quite easily just ban what makes him OP?
Just looked it up, the DW blaziken is basically an uber rare japan exclusive thing. it isn't even common.
Also, what would be a better team to make? Is there a guide for this shit?

Because they didn't want fringe rules. Smogon.
I heard of this amusingly named joke tournament Ni**er cup where only brown or dark colored Pokemon may enter it.
Also, what if Baton Pass and weathers were banned? I'd enjoy competitive more.
Also, what if Baton Pass and weathers were banned? I'd enjoy competitive more.
For Baton Pass chains you have Clear Smog and all those attacks that force switching like Whirlwind and Dragon Tail. For weather, either Cloud Nine or imposing your own weather.
But then I'm narroewd to a bunch of very specific Pokemon that I might not even like and worse, actually dislike.
TBH it sounds like the competitive community is super anal
it is
I gess this IS what happens with implementing competition in an RPG.
TBH it sounds like the competitive community is super anal
Welcome to all competitive communities
Welcome to all competitive communities
I guess there is an element of truth in that.
It just seems super dumb to ban an entire pokemon over one move though, when you can just say "Ok, you can have blaziken, but don't teach it baton pass"

Blaziken was super OP even without Baton pass though

Reason to that might be because it's impossible to make sure the moves/abilities aren't taught.
But then I'm narroewd to a bunch of very specific Pokemon that I might not even like and worse, actually dislike.
That's true for Cloud Nine (Which only Altaria, Golduck and Lickilicky have), but a good amount of pokemon learn those other moves, so it's not that bad, I think.
But yeah, I get what you mean, it's like when everyone is obsessed with entry hazards and you're almost always forced to have a pokemon with Rapid Spin with you.
Reason to that might be because it's impossible to make sure the moves/abilities aren't taught.
Playing a match? Use an illegal move? Get disqualified, your friend code gets blacklisted, etc
P easy
So I'm doing a nuzlocke with a randomizer. I noticed there was an option to randomize the names of trainers so I figured why the fuck not.

Since I'm almost exclusively playing on Random Matchup, I don't have to worry about tiers much. It gets tiring to see the same shit all the time, like Garchomp, Abomasnow, Hydreigon, and pals. Suicune is the bane of my existance right now.
What I need to end up doing is raise some less commonly seen Pokémon, and design them to fuck those guys.
Me too, and for now it has been a ratio of 2 wins per 1 loss, more or less. I've seen everything there, from umprepared people to really well-thought Drizzle teams or people using too much legendaries; and I've been able to win using mostly UU/RU pokemon.
The most remarkable battle I've had was one in doubles with a Regigigas and an Entrainment Durant, because the foe had a normal Ditto for some reason :v: Good thing I won that battle after a lot of struggle.

Once I went up against some guy with a Heatran and a Sableye. I had my Krookodile and Tornadus. His Sableye uses Fake Out, it's a critical hit. Then his Heatran uses Heat Wave. It crits on both of my Pokémon.
I can only imagine the look on his face. Mine was pretty great too.

It seems to happen a lot where all of the opponents attacks in a single turn crit.
So, while digging through my room, I found an issue of CoroCoro I got before BW2 came out. As you may know, CoroCoro is pretty much where a lot of information relating to game releases comes from a few days before it ends up on the official Japanese site, as it tends to leak a few days early. As you may or may not know, it is primarily a shōnen manga magazine. I happen to live relatively close to what is apparently one of the few places you can get it in the States.
So, there's some Pokémon related manga in there. Currently running is Pocket Monsters BW, which is supposed to be humor or something. So, I found this.

From what I understand, Red and co. pretty much just found Cedric's massive porn stash. I could be wrong, though.
According to the Cutting Room Floor Wiki (A wiki that Catalogues stuff that has been cut from games) there exists dialogue for the PWT for the Protagonists from B/W1

See, that's what I don't like about weather. OU is too centralized around it. It's a one sided fight unless you use an ability on a very select few Pokemon that only work when they're out (and aren't that great in the tiers where weather is most prominent anyway), or if you stoop to their shenanigans.
Weather is an alright mechanic. Can't stress that enough. Use a move, get its boost for 5 turns, or if you sacrifice your item slot for a Rock item, 8 turns. It wears off, and they'll have to waste another turn to set it up again. Good.
Where it gets ridiculous is permaweather abilities. Center your whole team around its boosting effects, and bam boom, you've got a low-effort, low-risk, high reward team. And you can't stop it unless like I said before, you stoop to their level. That, if they get careless, or if you base your whole team around countering them. That's not fun at all. Makes the game very stale in the sense that all you're fighting is weather teams and all you'll be using is anti-weather teams, or a weather team yourself.
I should stay in NU - UU, but some of my favorite Pokemon are in OU. Also, nobody uses the Clear Skies tier. If you ask me, "Clear Skies" should be the default and having weather inducers on your team bumps you to "Weather OU", which would act like how OU is now. Suddenly the game becomes a lot more enjoyable for non-weather players. Yes, things would have to be re-written and some Pokemon tiers would shift, but I don't really see the problem in that.
I apologize for the wall of text.

That manga has been around since the Red and Green era, I think, and it has always had that kind of humour. This and Pokemon Special/Adventures have been the longest manga versions of the games.
I even think it originated from the times where Clefairy was going to be the mascot of Pokemon, that's why the main character has both a Pikachu and a Clefairy.
My little sister, who is 8, wanted a pack of cards at the store, got 'em, and opened to find this beast;

I roll Fire/Lightning and Psychic/Grass, so I won't be pursuing her for it. She also pulled a Zekrom from the first B/W packs on her first ever pack. She is TOO damn lucky.

I love how the mangas can go into that territory much more than any of the other medias.

I think it's more likely to be sequels like B2/W2
