Sheer Force + LO won't net you strong or fast enough attacks, and Nido is weak to enough stuff for his bulk to be wasted. In the super lines, you'll come across Pokémon from all generations, so slapping flamethrower to tag stuff like Scizor and Shedinja isn't a bad idea. Poison attacks aren't really that great, aside from the chance to, well, poison, and Nido doesn't have any good recovery moves for toxic stalling.
Skarmory is so ridiculously physically bulky that recoil isn't a matter to him. Roost, Brave Bird, (nothing is immune to it), Sneaky Stones and Spikes is the usual, but in the battle subway, you'll probably want to get rid of one of the entry hazards, and perhaps replace it with toxic, or something, for stalling.
Your Ninjask isn't too great, you only have one attack that a lot of things resist. Ninjask isn't an offensive pokémom, he's a baton passer, primarly. SubProtect a bunch, Swords Dance if you have a free sub, and get that shit out to a physical attacker for sweeping. I would either replace him, or revamp your whole team to fit around his talents. You'll also come across a lot of rock types in the Subway, in my experience.
If you want a fast, hard hitting physical Pokémon, might I suggest Weavile?
My main thing with Sludge Wave is getting the STAB. I like to have at least one STAB move for either type on each Pokémon, honestly. And yeah, looking at Poison as a type it's not great, and Life Orb negates actually poisoning, so... I dunno.
My thing with getting into this is I'm more getting into it for fun, and so I can actually fight in the Battle Subway instead of getting 20-some odd battles in and getting raped by a Pokémon that I have to not have ANY strong moves against and manages to OHKO each of my Pokémon (Crustle :geno:). I want to kind of do my own thing and not use the "x moveset autowin button". It's why I have Nidoking even if he may not be a necessarily strong Pokémon - he's my favorite Pokémon.
With Ninjask, I kinda just picked him at random for his Speed. I like hitting first because I'm used to always hitting first because of the story trainers, so with not having a terribly speedy team, I figured I'd use his Speed Boost ability and pass that to my other Pokémon.
Sludge Wave sucks ass.
Thunderbolt is much better, if you want STAB power use Earth Power.
Better than Sludge Bomb.
And why Thunderbolt? It would only protect him against water types (which I'd probably swap out if one came up), and having the 2x for flying is redundant with an ice move. I mean, honestly. Nidoking doesn't have amazing speed to begin with and from what I've heard/seen, a lot of Water-types in competitve stuff (even Battle Subway) have Aqua Jet, which would negate any speed I boost to him. So, to me, it's just a wasted move slot.
I've also kind of looked into a Houndoom/Lapras combo. I like my Typhlosion/Lapras combo in SoulSilver, but I'd like to have a little more type coverage, so I was looking into Houndoom. Lapras is an amazing tank, too, and the Rain Dance/Surf/Ice Beam/Thunder combo seems to work wonders for anything and everything. Especially with Water Absorb.

Thunderbolt and Ice beam create perfect neutral coverage*. You already have STAB in the form of Earth Power, and Sludge wave isn't hitting anything that ice beam and flamethrower don't already cover. Also an aqua jet from anything that isn't Azumaril or banded probably won't kill a nidoking
*near perfect. oops

A Kyurem/Keldeo movie? Wonder how this will turn out.
I was wondering how long it'd be before we see anything about Pokemon Grey, or Ruby/Saphire remakes, so I looked up the dates between the first two main games of a generation, and compared it to the date that the third game/remakes came out...
They took 2 or 3 years.
It's going to be a long time...
oh shit he's haulin ass

Pokemon like Lanturn or Magnezone resist both.
Ghost and fight attacks guarantee you at least neutral damage to all pokemon
This might come in handy for that:

I'm surprised that no one even mentioned serebii.net yet

Flamethrower and earth power cover magnezone and lanturn respectively.
On top of that, despite ghost and fighting hitting everything neutrally, nidoking doesn't really carry SO MUCH POWER that an unresisted hit can OHKO. He's a coverage abuser.
Fire Ice Electric Ground gives super effective damage on FAR MORE Than ghost fighting, which nidoking needs to abuse so he can score OHKOs against bulkier foes.
I just realized I've been spelling Ghetsis' name wrong the whole time.

In the case of Nidoking that's true, that combination also gives at least neutral damage with everything (aside from Heat Rotom).
I was only saying the BoltBeam combination in general has its flaws, and Ghost/Fight has more coverage (The only type combination resisting both being Normal/Ghost, which doesn't exist)
~snip~
So I got started on Soul Silver and picked Chikorita, gonna only use her for ALL fights to make it that bit harder and only use other pokemon for HM's etc.

Why do these two fit so perfectly together?
My favourite coverage combination is Fire/Dragon/Ground.
Only resister is Heatrans on magic carpets.
I have four boxes of Zorua. :v:

That reminds me. I don't have a single water type/move in my team on Black. I'm trying to think if I should replace my Beheeyem with something. He's strong but has like no speed...Hmm...

Hydreigon can get Surf, I think?
Or try your luck with hidden power.
Can I defeat the elite four with this team?
level 63 Samurott, level 53 Haxorus, level 50 Beheeyem, level 53 Mienshao, level 50 Golurk, level 51 Virizion?

That's got me thinking. Do people ever talk about anything other than Pokémon in Pokémon? I mean, nobody talks about non-pokésports, or TV shows about not-pokémon.
other than the coffee shops, ice cream stands, and vending machines there aren't even any services for people

Should be quite easy with that team, but you might run into a little trouble if you don't prepare your lineup for the last two battles.

Already got a dragon type. I might replace Beheeyem. Though it's gonna be a pain to get another Pokemon to 60+ seeing that's what he is at the moment.
I wanna continue using only Gen 5 pokemon but then again I got others from other gens i'd like to use for online fighting later..Meh I don't know. I'm slightly tempted to replace my Beheeyem with my Snorlax. He has Zen Headbutt so he covers his fighting type weakness AND will still make it where I got a Psychic type move in my team, but like Beheeyem he's slow...Meh I don't know.
