Those designs seem to be pretty conservative and non-speculative, I'm sure Game Freak is going to throw us a curve ball in at least one or two of those final evolutions, most likely with Fennekin's. They've done it with other starters before (Like Piplup and Tepig)
So, today I managed to convince two of my friends to each buy a 3DS. They'll be getting them at some point before October. All because of Pokemon X and Y. That brings the amount of friends who own a 3DS up to a solid two.
The possibility of having co-op would be really neat and refreshing, not only because it would mean more double battles but also because you could have the option to help your partner and even train your pokemon too. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] I think the grid system will be gone now that the game is fully on 3D.
No, from the looks of the videos, its still a grid system, but it might move in 8 directions(the whole spiderweb shit but that might be a 1 time thing) but it doesnt seem to be free control.
So who's excited to hear how people fuck up the pronunciation of Xearneas and Yveltal?

How many directions can the circle pad detect from regardless? Haven't read much on it
So who's excited to hear how people fuck up the pronunciation of Xearneas and Yveltal?
please oh wise one tell me how to pronounce yelggtttbtlval [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] nevermind nintendo just posted it on Facebook
An 8 direction grid is going to be nearly seamless. How many directions can the circle pad detect from regardless? Haven't read much on it
Most joysticks can read 16, I think, but I'm not exactly sure if that's the case for the 3DS circle pad. I'd say we need more footage to conclude if there's indeed a grid system or it's free movement. Still, why is it such an issue? I know pretty much all fully 3D games have free range movement, but I don't really think it's too bad if there's a grid.
At first the name Yveltal reminded me of Quetzalcoatl. [sub]how the fuck did I spell Quetzalcoatl right on the first try[/sub]
I hope that Yveltal is poison/dragon Poison type could use a bit of a buff in terms of movepool and a main legendary might help to add something, especially if the native environment is filled with other similar pokemon

I still think SER-nee-us sounds a bit more right (Spanish pronounciation, but anyway, I'm also accostumed to say "GLEE-GAR" instead of "GLY-GER" or whatever the English pronounciation of Gligar is)
please oh wise one tell me how to pronounce yelggtttbtlval
Whenever I see a Y at the start of a word I have trouble with it. I always end up defaulting to the sound used in french or spanish
i think it's going to be more likely a flying/dark type.
At first the name Yveltal reminded me of Quetzalcoatl. [sub]how the fuck did I spell Quetzalcoatl right on the first try[/sub]
I always remember because of Quetzalcoatlus. Learning about prehistoric life pays off :v:
i think it's going to be more likely a flying/dark type.
Probably so, but I can hope. The type is lacking any legendaries, even dual types. If they won't give us a main legendary, they should at least give us some sort of a better option for the type. Poison tends to be defense oriented, so maybe some sort of a steel/poison type
Dont know why you think I think its an issue, im fine with grid based movement.
I've seen some people being bothered by it. I personally don't think it really causes harm since the whole game has been designed around it since forever (And sometimes you'll probably need to count steps, which becomes impossible to accomplish without a gridded system). Gridded or not I'm probably going to enjoy these games the same way.
So who's excited to hear how people fuck up the pronunciation of Xearneas and Yveltal?
I'm still bitter that they didn't call it "Yvern". IT WAS A PERFECT NAME, GOD DAMMIT. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] Not sure if I'm gonna go with Fennekin or Froakie. I like Fennekin and haven't used a fire starter since Gen III, but Froakie is growing on me somethin' fierce (especially if he ends up being part fighting, hot Jesus).

I think I actually like Froakie most out of the 3. I hope his evolutions end up being bad-ass
I wonder what the final evolutions of the new starters are going to look like. I hope they don't go too far off like Oshawatt's did. First he's an otter, the next he's a slightly taller ninja like otter thing, and finally he's a god damn blue unicorn.
blue unicorn.
Samurott is a sea lion, dingus
Samurott is a sea lion, dingus
I thought Oshawatt's was a samurai sea otter as the final evolution. Edit:
it's a samurai sea lion
A'ight then. Also a bit on/off topic, what ancient creatures do you think this generation will have for it's fossil pokemon? [SUB]I wanna Stegosaurs monster dang it[/SUB]
it's a samurai sea lion
Frog evolution 3 leaked.
haha what
I really hope that they make the fossilmon blatant dinosaurs. Do we even have a straight-up T-Rex Pokemon? Jesus, that's something you'd think would be in Gen I... A T-Rex, Ankylosaur, Stegosaurus, Plesiosaurus, Hadrosaur, Velociraptor, or Parasaurolophus Pokemon would be greatly appreciated. A Moesasaur is fine too.
I've seen every episode of that season. How did I miss that reference? Maybe because I never pronounces Arceus like that. I always pronounced it Arc-seeus
Arc-seeus
nigga what there's only one c in the name
Is there a poison water type yet?
Is there a poison water type yet?
the oft forgotten Qwilfish
