I'd wait till it learned thunderbolt before doing that
It can learn it by TM as well as most of the elemental special moves that it should have.
Edit: Also since most people seem interested in PokeGTS, I will write up a tutorial after I get back from work if people still need it about DNS settings.

So I'm replacing my DS lite, Do I get a 3DS OoT zelda edition or a 3DS XL?
I'd say the strongest of the type rumors is the one that states that Chespin will be Grass/Dark, Fennekin will be Fire/Psychic, and Froakie will be Water/Fighting.
In the trailer, Chespin uses (what appears to be) a Dark move, Fennekin uses a Psychic move, and Froakie uses a Fighting move.
If they themselves aren't, I'd say it's a good bet that one or more of their evos will be.
I'd be cool with that, but it kinda eliminates the oh my starter is better than yours when your rival takes the stronger base type, then you trade blows of super effectiveness in the later stages. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing yet

imo, if you don't like the 3ds screen size go xl, but i feel like it's fine, more portable that way too, personally go with the zelda 3ds

It already happened in DPPt, with Infernape being able to hit both Empoleon and Torterra with SE STAB, Torterra to hit both Empoleon and Infernape with SE STAB Earthquake, and Empoleon being able to hit Torterra for neutral with Surf, and for 4x SE with Ice Beam. If anything, it'd be more polished.
I still prefer Pokedit.com over PokeGTS, their editor is brilliant and the process of downloading the Pokemon to your game is simple enough that even a retard can do it.

That's true, i did enjoy that
can you do stuff like that for normal pokemon?
because i really want a ghastly and ralts
does ANYONE have these two?!
Yes, you can; there're .pkm databases for normal pokemon too. I've always used Pokestation (Now called Pokecheats), for example.
But of you want I can breed you a Ralts for you.
...oh, nevermind, you got it already :v:

get the OoT Zelda edition. it's more expensive and if you take good care of it, it's value will only go up.

do you need an AR to do it?
do you need an AR to do it?
AR = Action Replay I'm assuming? Hell no.
Make a Pokemon on their website, give them your friend code, change DNS, connect, done.

done.
now pardon me while me and my physic's and ghosts go and fuck up that bitch with the Emolgas
Alright folks, I have something to confess (maybe this is common practice, but I haven't been in enough Pokemon threads to know that).
I caught low level Pokemon and named them things like Deoxys and Darkrai, then put them up on the GTS to trade for ones I needed to fill my 'dex. Some little kid would search for his favorite legendary and end up giving me his Crobat for an Oddish. I ripped off a LOT of people.

I don't hate you as much as the fuckers that name theirs as other pokemon, making it so I can't find shit that I'm really looking for.

Nah, that's nothing compared to people who request Level 1 Zekroms for EVERYTHING
If they want a level 1 Zekrom, give them a level 1 Zekrom.
What's a good defensive move set for serperior? Mine right now is:
Coil
Leech seed
Giga drain
Light screen
Holding a big root.
I'm only asking because light screen feels useless on battles
substitute might be better.

Now someone just needs to make fan art of it as a fire/fighting type and act like it's the leaked evo and watch the reaction.

Serperior isn't the most defensive Pokemon in the world, but he does have a few sets worth mentioning.
Sub Seeder
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Timid
-Giga Drain
-Leech Seed
-Substitute
-Taunt
The main gimmick of this set is to have Serperior force a switch, Leech Seed the switch-in, and alternate between Substitute and Giga Drain until the opposing Poke dies. Taunt is there in order to prevent the opponent from phazing you out, setting up on you, using recovery moves, or using Taunt themselves. The one major problem with this set is that you're walled hardcore against anything immune to Leech Seed.
Dual Screens
Item: Light Clay
Nature: Timid
-Light Screen
-Reflect
-Giga Drain
--filler-
Pretty obvious what this set is supposed to accomplish: set up screens in order to make life easier for the rest of your team. Giga Drain is there because it's a decent STAB move that also provides recovery. The fourth moveslot is pretty much up to you: Taunt is nice for reasons stated above, Glare is cool because, unlike Thunder Wave, it can paralyze Ground types, and Safeguard can be useful in protecting your team from status effects and certain secondary effects (i.e Thunder's 30% chance to paraylize).

Pokedit worked well for me. Although I tried giving myself a Kyogre to use for the Rayquaza event in Soulsilver, but all of its stats somehow ended up at zero. :v: I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I gave up. Luckily, it looks like PokeGTS has a premade Kyogre for me.
I know I said I would type up a guide for PokeGTS but I'm have a lot of work right now (I work as a CPA and tax season started last week) but while I write the guide, Here is a video I found on how to set-up your system to work with PokeGTS

That's because you didn't have a full team when you received it from the GTS: pretty much all those pokemon are ready to be put in a box, so when you have them on your team they come all glitchy and will have 0/0 stats on everything.
To fix it you simply put that pokemon in any box, then exit the PC, then re-enter and put it in your team again.

What does connecting to a fake gts achieve?
Ugh, I hate roaming Pokemon. I've been trying to catch the Entei in Soulsilver for a long while now. I used Pokedit to give myself a Pokemon to help me catch it. It's a shiny (why not?) Sneasel with False Swipe, Dark Void, Thunder Wave, Protect, and Arena Trap as its ability. I know it's cheating, but I'm tired of chasing this thing around.
What does connecting to a fake gts achieve?
You can get your Pokemon for battles and testing your theorycrafting without having to spend ages doing that boring crap like leveling them up and worrying about IVs and EVs.

Just tried it out.
For some reason it wont give my pokemon nicknames, so they are all called "ALAKAZAM" and such, even if I type in differently.
