I use PokeGTS because I can upload pokemon from my Rom save files using PokeGen, unless you can do that as well with Pokedit?

on another note why does pokemon pearl/diamond/platnium seem so "slow" when compiared to other games in the series ?

Because they literally are slower than the other games?
3rd gen: Overworld 60 fps, battles 60 fps.
4th gen: Overworld 30 fps, battles 30 fps.
5th gen: Overworld 30 fps, battles 60 fps.
And that's why I am leery of 3D stuff. Specially how, on 3D, misses being a slight delay and no animation being played, and overall a slow pace, are a HUGE turn off. Blame fucking Genious Sonority, HAL labs did that FAR better with the Stadiums.
By now, I've gotten used to the new starters. Or at least, as of yesterday. That was pretty fast.
I'm really liking Chespin right now. Not sure why. I usually don't favor the Grass starters.

At least for pearl/diamond, the games were horribly optimized for the DS so were actually physically slower
But insofar as I've observed Platinum fixed the problem

I bought a few tins about four months ago. Coincidentally I pulled this Arceus from one of the boosters in the Arceus tin. Included Togekiss in the picture because I love him.
Togekiss is one of those Pokemon I've always questioned the design. It just looks so... odd.

i very much doubt X-Y will have all 600+ pkm
I sorta want there to be no transferring from older games.
It'd let them make bigger updates to the game mechanics (look at the changes from generation II to generation III) and would also mean that pretty much all pokemon would be catchable in it.

Generation II to III was more a technological jump than a game mechanics jump though wasn't it?

The EV and IV systems are completely different in Gen II and Gen III, along with things like the calculation of shinies and gender, which were completely IV-dependant before Gen III. Also, there's the whole new PID (Personality value) deal.
