If they ever do that, I'd prefer something like what they did in Stadium 1 and 2: make the cries much more realistic, but still similar to the original ones.
I usually use Dusk Balls, as I like the animation and I mainly play at night time, so it's good that I catch everything in one, it's spiffy and it's got a cool animation.
Quick ball,timer ball and dusk balls are all I need

If Alakazam is so smart, why can't he talk? He can say his own name, but can't learn new languages? Mewtwo can do it, sure it's powerful but the pokedex says that Alakazam has an outrageously high IQ, it should be able to learn language
