Does anyone know what the percent chance of getting a shiny is on scripted battles like kyurem or mespirit?
odds of a pokemon being shiny are ALWAYS 1/8192
or .01220703125%

hey I've seen 8192 Pokemon in my time, i should have a shiny by now.
shines are a myth
I just want multiple save slots so I can have a casual run and a nuzlocke run on the same cart
I can't see why they cannot have more then one slot, 3DS has a memory card, they're not tied to the carts memory limitations anymore.

I guess if they don't you can just use different SD cards.
That alone is a game changer.
Hopefully they keep that for Gen 6, and also keep selectable difficulty levels from the beginning.
It would be good for young children who have never played before.
Easy/Beginner Mode- Less exp, weaker trainers
Normal- Same as previous gens
Advanced/Hard Mode- More exp, hard as fuck trainers

It feels like they rushed this out, someone missed a deadline or maybe they weren't expecting a corocoro leak (which is pretty foolish)
They never had long graphical professional trailers for other eevee forms, right?
I side with them on that, Sylveon may be new, but it doesn't quite deserve a big flashy trailer.
Anyway, I bought a massive binder and 65 card sleeve pages, and I spent 3 hours putting in every card I own.
Holos, followed by rares, followed by pokemon going by type, and finally trainer cards. Energies I banished to one of my numerous tins, and my Psychic/Grass and Fire/Lightning Decks are in small deck cases with the counters in yet another tin.
And the Plasma Storm set is out now, so my main target is this badass;

I'm also gonna try to attend my first Card tournament in 10 years, for the seniors/masters division. Doubt I'll win, but whatever.

I want it so that my sister doesn't steal my game, start a new game, THEN OVERWRITE EVERYTHING.
Including a legit mew and other legit event only legendaries.

Two of those attacks seem to be Trump Card and Swift. Eevee can learn the former, so that doesn't say anything about its typing. The other ones are more interesting: A fire-type(?) one and and electric-type(?) that doesn't seem to do damage.
Dragon Pokemon can learn attacks of a lot of typings, and some Normal Pokemon can too, so I'm guessing either of those.
I also agree in the difficulty setting thing, they really need to make it selectable from the beginning. The way they did it in BW2 was a total mess.
Sylveon, eh?
Well I did some detective work and strap the fuck in because I'm about to blow your mind.
Sylveon obviously sounds similar to "Silvia". The name comes from the Latin word Silva and means "spirit of the wood".
This matches up with the Japanese name, Ninfeon, which sounds similar to "Nymph".
Nymphs are creatures in Greek mythology, female nature deities associated with a particular aspect of nature.
There are 5 types of Nymph: Celestial, Water, Land, Plant, and Underworld.
What does this have to do with anything?
Eeveelutions are associated with a particular type (Psychic, Grass, Dark, Electric, etc.)
And now for the killing blow...
In ROMAN mythology, there was a goddess of the forest and the moon.
Her name?
[sp]Sylvia.[/sp]
Her husband was also her brother.
In other words, her male counterpart was also related to her.
His name?
Romei.
I predict that Sylveon will be a Normal-type Female-only Eeveelution.
Alongside her will be Romeon, a Normal-type Male-only Eeveelution.
The upside is that, being normal types, they get a little bit of everything as far as movesets go.
The downside is a lack of STAB for those moves.
[editline]14th February 2013[/editline]
It could also easily be Bug-Type, because of the butterfly bows and how the French word for "chrysalis" is nymphali.
how the French word for "chrysalis" is nymphali.
What? No, it isn't. It's chrysalide. Nymphali is the french name for Sylveon, with the -li being the equivalent of -eon for the eeveelution.
And the bows are butterflies.

that 8192nd one still has a 1/8192 chance of being shiny. it's not the way it works.

Shiny Charm. :eng101:
Well the new region seems like it's set in more foresty areas than Unova so I'm happy.
This fucking woman in black 2 is creeping me majorly out.
She's in Nimbasa city, in front of the ferris wheel, which she challenges you to a battle every day when you come back. Which isn't wrong at first, but it's what happens after you beat her.
She forces you to ride the ferris wheel with her, then she starts talking about how her clothes are sweaty and her sweat is making her clothes stick to her body. It's really fucking creepy considering the fact that you're playing as a KID and she's an ADULT. It's creepier when she talks about how much she loves working with kids.

Not true, in Diamond, pearl and Platinum there was a Pokemon Radar, which lets you decrease the odds to 1/200 OR if you are very lucky there is a special event when using it where the grass will ALWAYS give you a shiny.
There is a very rare type of shaking grass that glows white twice rather than shaking. This special kind of grass always holds a Shiny Pokémon.

The chance of finding a Shiny Pokémon patch increases the longer the chain is. This chance maxes out at chain #40, in which the chance of finding a shiny grass patch is 1/200, a substantial increase from the usual 1/8192. Furthermore, the shiny grass patch always contains the Pokémon that is being chained, so there is no risk of breaking the chain when entering one. A Shiny Pokémon can appear in a normal grass patch, however, but the chances of that happening are the same as normal.
And then they take out the Game Corner
Well the new region seems like it's set in more foresty areas than Unova so I'm happy.
I hope they have more cities like Castelia though - I thought it was amazing that they made something that felt like a proper big city rather than a city with a few houses and a gym.
Also I have an old first-gen DS that still works as well as my DS Lite, will I be able to transfer pokemon from Heart Gold to Black using the Poke Transfer thingy?

You should take another ride, see what happens

that's a different method of obtaining a shiny. if you're not doing that, just wandering around looking for a shiny whatever, then your odds are what I listed, all trainer's pokemon have the same odds as well as battle tower (I've gone up against a few shinies in there.) and pokemon that have field sprites (Legendary pokemon)
You should take another ride, see what happens
The same thing happened. I'm getting worried that my character might get molested if I keep trying.

Don't worry about it, just keep riding.

AFAIK the protags in gen5 are at least 16 but I think they're actually 18.
Also that ferris wheel means I can never look at the daycare chicks ingame without getting a boner anymore. It's ruined my life :(
