in pokemon gold, I saw a misdreavus once, and I was out of pokeballs. All my friends yelled at me because I could've cloned it and given them misdreavuses. All we ever saw of misdreavus from that point on was the sprite from my incomplete dex entry
Well, I finally found my Pearl cartridge, all is well again.
I also found my Heartgold cartridge too. My Pearl just holds all my pokemon from all my previous Heartgold runs and holds my dream team too.
I found my first legit non-red-gyarados shiny last night, a green sandshrew. Too bad it was on my friend's cart :v:

I was 17 away in my Leaf Green game. One of them was chimecho, which I've never seen wild in any game ever.

Chimecho kind of freaked me out for some reason. Sapphire being my first game and all, I wasn't expecting seeing anything like that up there when I was, like, seven or eight.

Its Ruby and Sapphire sprite looks like a crescent, I had no idea what it was supposed to be.
Still eight and having beaten Steven, I was half-asleep and randomly roaming around Route 111 and this fucker shows up.

Man, I have some good memories of those times. Like when I only brought a few regular Poké Balls to the fight against Kyogre, and when my friend and I discovered Sky Pillar and, ultimately, Rayquaza, on our own.
So I just found out that Crobat has the underbite of a llama in Pokémon Colosseum and Battle Revolution. Like all of its visible teeth are attached to the bottom jaw in the same shape as its mouth.
I'll never be able to use one ever again.

I will never forgive GF for making things like Heart Scales basically exclusive to the Dream World.

Which game? There's always plenty of ways to obtain Heart Scales, it looks like.

I remember playing Silver, fishing on the Olivine City port to see if I could see anything new, I got a Chinchou and I was like "What the hell is this?". Same thing when I came across a Shuckle via Rock Smash.
On the topic of Ruby and Sapphire, I remember trying to solve the Regis mystery for a friend, I had my Braille cardboard and everything and we were translating all the chambers's text and catching the Regis one by one. Remember there's a chamber when you basically need to wait 2 minutes doing nothing? Imagine our surprise when we were halfway done with the translation and the door suddendly opened :v:
I still don't understand how you could mistake Latias for a taco. Or how looking at a Jet-Dragon even invokes the thought "This is supposed to be a taco"
