Yeah...
Meowth, Skitty, Glameow and Purrloin are all pretty... under average.

Though out of all those, I'd give Meowth/Persian and Glameow/Purgly a try.

(For those who don't understand gravity, all pokemon lose 2 stages of evasion, ground moves hit any target, lasts for 5 turns)

My favorite 2v2 strategy is a physical ground sweeper and a levitating electric type. Earthquake and Discharge hit everything, ground type immune to Discharge, levitating immune to Earthquake. :D
