Thing is as Larvesta isn't that good. Some reason it's Physical not Special based but Turns Special when it Evolves. Either way I love Volcarona.

I wouldn't ask the question which is best. It always starts fights.
That being said I suggest Crystal/HG. OR I could send you a rom hack I did where I remade an old Pokemon Red Rom hack in FireRed. It doesn't have extreme changes but it's noticeable in some of the places. The original was called Pokemon Revolution.
Do whatever you want though.
HG/SS is nice, since it has the flavor of the old games, but it uses the updated battle system (with the Gen IV Attack/SP. Attack split and other improvements) so that's good too.
Also, it's got 16 gyms (and gym re-battling after a certain point in the game) along with your typical fight with Red, so there's that as well.

Hunting down Entei and Raikou was kind of annoying, although not as annoying as trying to catch Latios or Latias on E, R, or S. Aside from that, I totally agree.
Welp, I've been trying to find a ditto from another country through the GTS with no luck, due to the impossible demands of all the 1337 k1dz who want level 9 reshrams and lvl 100 Latias. Would someone in this thread (someone from outside the U.S., mind you) be willing to trade me a "foreign" ditto?
For those who don't understand why it has to be foreign, it's because of the x4 chance for shinies, which I am trying to breed for.

I was gonna say just make one but I assume you don't have an acekard you have a Black/White Cart.
Let me go get a ditto off the Pokemon Black Jap I have and we can maybe do a trade.
I put Japanese Pokemon Black on my acekard so I could get Japanese event pokemon but I guess this could be useful for that too :v:

Not sure whether to get black/white or another gen, thoughts?

I DO have an Action Replay for the DSi, but that only works for thing already in a pre-existing game cartridge. Theoretically, I could try and generate a code for a foreign ditto to just spawn into one of my boxes, but the game has a way of figuring out what is and isn't legitimate (it has something to do with parts of the "junk" data that come with each encounter, as well as some form of identification that is generated when it is caught.) Also, I have tried to breed these "fake" pokemon, and the game still senses that the offspring are also illegitimate, so I can't go with that either.
Pretty much, I only use my "hax0r" powers when I want training items (ie rare candies, the various vitamins, etc.) or some heart scales. Everything else I just wish to keep legitimate since hacking the game for various things (such as full pokedex, insta-catch, pokemon generation codes) tends to ruin the experience for me.

If you care at all for online play, I truly recommend Black/White. They introduced a matchmaking system, so you are always guaranteed someone to fight. They also have the GTS and the new GTS negotiation systems, as well as the battle vids, if you like to watch other people fight as well.
Also, having one of the better stories in the game series, the addition of triple and rotation battles, and more than 150 new Pokemon doesn't hurt. ;P

Ok, I have figured it out. For the Masuda method to work, I need to trade between game cartridges of different languages. That means I can't just trade from the U.S. to Canada, unless of course you have the French version of the game. That kind of makes this a little bit harder, seeing as my options have been reduced significantly, seeing as most of the posters here are either from the UK or the US [sp]and a bit of Canada too[/sp].

Well, I guess that last half of the battle got pretty boring pretty fast. I don't see why you just didn't swap out right away to Swampert though, seeing as the first two pokemon were Bug/Electric and Flying/Electric respectively. I guess that is just hindsight talking though, since you pretty much had no way to tell that all three of her pokemon were of limited effectiveness to your Swampert.
Also, does anyone know the command for putting a slash through your text by any chance? I've always wondered what the command was for that.

The Farflakk'd Challenge is where your only pokemon are two Farfetch'd, both only Level 5. Every gym you complete, you add 5 levels to your Pokemon. When the time comes to fight the Elite Four (if you ever do), you may fill up your slots with [I]only[/I] Psyducks. However, these Psyducks will always be level 5, and you must put them in the first of battle before you send out your Farfetch'd.

- Disable All EXP
- Wild Pokemon Modifier
- Wild Pokemon Level Modifier
